Just e returned from this restaurant which was VERY underwhelming. We went in the 5th night of our stay in Megeve and all rated this the worst out of them all. The staff are robotic like with ZERO personality or care about our experience. It was borderline shocking how rude and indifferent they were. The food was even more disappointing. €65 per person for the 1kg of beef and more than half was inedible due to chewy gristle…YUCK! The cozet was just ok but a small scoop for €35 (with truffles) and the sides were a joke. Salad for €7 and a tiny side of string beans (frozen type!!) and mashed potatoes. None of us were happy. Too bad bc it was Valentine’s Day and we were really hoping for a nice experience. Trust me…go to the other hundred establishments in Megeve and you will be much happier and have money left in your wallet:/ It wouldn’t kill you to smile or ask “how is everything going” with your table??!!

This was our second time dining at La Table du Trappeur, and it certainly did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and excellent service. The restaurant's cozy, chalet-style decor creates a charming alpine atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal. The food was outstanding—every dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented. The flavors were rich and authentic, truly showcasing the best of French cuisine. The wine selection was also impressive, perfectly complementing our meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a wonderful dining experience. Whether you're visiting Megève for the first time or are a regular, La Table du Trappeur is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our dinner here! Everything was delivered in time the service was really good and the atmosphere was also beautiful! Prices are similar with market and also th food really tasty and also the deserts were great! Worth it in my view.

A superb find!! Dishes were very well researched, extremely tasty and a pleasure to the eyes as you can see from the pictures - tasty bread kept on coming with very professional service - very well done. The best experience from the 7 restaurants we did in Megeve this week.

Excellent place for dinner, I ordered the Brochette de Noix de Saint-Jacques, it was delicious. The snails (escargots) were lovely too. And I also tasted the Fillet of local white Char (fish) and also the Medallion of Angelfish in a curry sauce, simply succulent. To finish, the thin apple pastry glammed with calvados, mmmmhhm

Great dining experience. We loved the coziness of this restaurant, the dishes were tasty and delicious, the services was nice so were the people. Definitely recommended.

Very good food, a little traditional and stuffy, we had a big table which maybe didn't suit the vibe, fine but a little traditional.
