We stayed at Val d’Este in St Gervais for a three-night ski trip and it was exactly what we needed. The location is excellent — right in the centre of town, close to restaurants and easy for the lifts.||It’s a simple, no-frills hotel, but clean and comfortable. The bed was genuinely very comfy after long days skiing, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.||Breakfast was straightforward but well done, with great coffee. It’s not a luxury stay, but for a short trip where you’re out most of the day, it’s a very good-value, well-located base.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a central part of town with many restaurants and a beautiful view on a clear day. The room can be lit a little bit better, but it could also be giving the alpine charm. The hotel doesn't come with an elevator, so this might be an issue for elderly guests. The hotel serves a generous breakfast in the morning and becomes an intimate bar at night(with a friendly dog).
Lovely hotel. Right in the centre of town, perfectly located, clean, great breakfast, excellent service.
We recently stayed at a location situated in the heart of a charming town with a fantastic vibe. It felt like a safe place to store our touring bikes. Our room even had a awesome balcony, which added to the experience. The host was incredibly accommodating, especially with his friendly three-legged dog, Melo, who made our stay even more enjoyable.
We stayed in March 2025 for a late-season ski weekend, and the hotel saved us after another had shut down despite accepting our booking. The staff at Hôtel Val d'Este were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. We’re very grateful to the hotel for being there in a tricky situation.
A comfortable centrally located hotel close to several bars and restaurants. The rooms at the front have balconies and the double glazing keeps the traffic noise out. It's a 15 minute walk to the telecabine (ski lockers available) that takes you to Le bettex and beyond.
Comfortable room in a great location with friendly, welcoming staff.
This was my first time staying at the hotel and was very happy with the experience. The hotel is right in the middle of the village and only a few steps away from all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are basic but clean and well maintained and have a rustic warm feel to them. The downstairs breakfast area includes a very nice and the continental breakfast was excellent. Our host was very nice and spoke very good English and was very welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here.
