Such an incredible château! If you have some.time while visitin Paris or if you live here and you like medieval times, feeling like you are time travelling and the kindest personnel, Château de voncennes is a must! They provide a tablet for an audioguide and also it includes a remake of how the place looked like while it was fiest built. Amazing experience. You can buy tickets there.

After visiting some of the popular attractions in Paris, this felt like a quite getaway. At the end of Metro line 1, this castle is far enough away from the bustle of Paris, but close enough to easily get to. The audio/visual guide was interesting and could be selected for children or adults. We liked the information presented. The gift shop has bathrooms.

This is very rarely busy, despite being a major historic castle. Probably one of the tallest you’ll ever see. However the jewel in the crown is the mighty sainte chapelle, which was recently restored to full glory and the days of Francis I. This castle has been in near continual military use since medieval times and has an incredible role in history. Not just by the kings who lived here, but by the famous people incarcerated here.

A wonderful historical site located in the beautiful city of Vincennes. Every time you visit, you’ll feel incredibly cozy and comfortable as you walk around, explore the area, and enjoy the peaceful and charming atmosphere that surrounds the place. It’s the kind of destination where you can really relax, slow down, and appreciate both the history and the scenery. The staff there are truly kind and friendly. From the moment you arrive, everyone welcomes you with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Their positive attitude really adds to the pleasant vibe of the place. Thank you to everyone working there for creating such a lovely environment. I’m sure that I’ll be visiting again the next time I return to Paris, and I’m already looking forward to it.

Good shoes as there are cobbles bring your ID if you want to rent out the tour tablets. There are a lot of steps inside the chateau. I would say bring a wee picnic and just enjoy the experience as it is not that busy as we are here in April.

We went on the first Sunday of the month, which is free to all, but it is worth buying the ticket. We spent about 2 hours visiting all major sites. There were very few visitors on the first Sunday of Jan, probably because many are still on vacation and this site is their lower priority list. My wife and I like it, and I recommend it.

A must-visit if you want to see a real fortress! Unlike the ornate palaces in central Paris, Château de Vincennes feels powerful and historic. The 14th-century keep is incredibly well-preserved, and the Sainte-Chapelle on-site is stunning. It’s much less crowded, making for a peaceful walk. Easy to get to via Metro Line 1!

Beautiful location, the chapel is stunning and the keep provides a taste of a medieval chateau close to the city. Very easy to get to, about a 20 min metro ride from city center. We hadn't planned on visiting, but are glad we did. One of the least crowded locations and a true highlight of our trip.
