LOMIDZE ROMAN

A nice piece of history. It's a very old tower, built on a Roman temple to Jupiter and it uses some of the old Roman stones. It doesn't stand out and you can't go in it. I'm glad I stopped to visit it. Across the street here's a spectacular overlook of Annecy, the mountains, and the lake. The overlook has information panels about the tower and the area. It has fascinating info like the fact that Annecy has been inhabited for 5600 years. Definitely a spot for photos and learning.

Old bell tower in Annecy-le-Vieux. Interesting to see but we didn’t get any information on the place itself as there were no signs or markers. Still worth a visit.

Superbe conservation de ce clocher qui sonne encore

C'est un clocher roman du 12ème siècle qui a survécu à la révolution. On peut y voir une cloche déposée au sol. De plus l'endroit est tranquille et agréable, on domine Annecy.
