Very pleasant, helpful staff. Surprised that paper/plastic cups were provided in the room, not glasses or cups. Appreciated the kettle. Had to ask reception to change "climat" settings in room. Even then, a bit temperamental
A comfortable hotel with great service from the staff. The gym was not available which was part of the reason for choosing this hotel :(
Overnight stay while visiting Castres for a rugby match. Lovely staff. Good breakfast. Free safe parking. About a 20 min walk to to the stadium or centre of town. Pleasant and functional room. Would use again.
Perhaps the authorities tote up a range perks and facilities to give a hotel a rating. From a much traveled customer's point of view, this is a 3 star hotel trying to be a 4. In some ways, that is a good thing. The staff is very nice. The dining room puts out some very fine food, although I wouldn't say the same about breakfast that was quite pedestrian. They have the right color for the orange juice, but it and the pastries are very underwhelming.||Nice hallway carpeting, clean rooms, thick towels, but you can't hide that the plant is pretty utilitarian '70s or '80s design. The only thing "privileged" about our upgraded room is that it was in the back near the parking lot and the not yet opened pool.||The location is convenient, away from the congested downtown and relatively quiet. We have stayed in many Mercure and Accor facilities. This one is working hard to meet the standard. In some ways, they succeed. But they aren't quite there.
Good stay, noce and very helpful, clean rooms, good breakfast
Room was well presented, breakfast good and front desk / concierge was very informative and helpful at advising where to eat and see as well as arranging taxis to Le Castelet.
We were a large group from California. We were treated like VIPs by the wonderful friendly staff. We had leftovers from staying in a gite near Foix and the staff here cheerfully heated them up for those that wanted to eat them. The restaurant was great and we enjoyed the regional cuisine and warm hospitality.
We had booked and paid for a superior room with single beds. When we arrived we had been relocated from room 214 to room 212 and upon entering room 212 it was hot enough to be a sauna. Sadly the air conditioning control did not work, and we had to ask for assistance. The result was that the system was completely isolated for the whole of our stay. The bathroom was small, the cubicle for the toilet even smaller and it was impossible to use the toilet with the door shut. No bottles of complimentary water were provided in the room. We have stayed in many Mercure hotels but on this occasion it felt worse than staying in an Ibis hotel
