Olivier and Laurence are remarkable hosts in their 17th century home within the city walls of Avignon. Helpful with local knowledge and assistance with all aspects of our stay for five nights in beautiful April in Avignon. What could be better! Beautiful and restful garden. Not warm enough for Aussies to enjoy the pool. If asked to score, it would be 10 out of 10 for an unforgettable Avignon experience for my wife and I.

An absolutely fantastic stay at this gorgeous guest house made our stay in Avignon more wonderful. The owners are warm, friendly, and extremely communicative in advance both regarding the reservation and lots of information about the city. The room was so comfortable and the breakfast and spectacular garden all made the stay that much nicer. The location cannot be any better. We really felt like friends being invited into their home (and garden). We would absolutely return here.

If I could give a 10 for the service that still would not be enough as Olivier and Laurence were such wonderful hosts. They helped us with orientation on our arrival and provided a great list of recommendations when we booked our stay to help with planning our short stay in Avignon. The location was central to everything but on a quiet street to get away from the crowds. The building and rooms were a great mix of old and new with art adorning the walls. The garden and pool are a great spot to relax We would love to stay with them again if we return to Avignon.

This place is a gem in Avignon. The owners were very responsive and friendly before and during our stay. They provided us with along list of curated restaurant recommendations so we could look at them before we left home and helped with reservations for our choices. They also provided a great briefing on our arrival. ||The accomodations were a great mix of old and modern and very clean. The garden and pool area was so relaxing. The location was very central but off the main street so was quiet to escape the bustle of the city. ||We would love to stay here again if we are back in Avignon.

Olivier was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. His welcome introduction was extremely well thought through and saved us having to look for the best restaurants and things to do in and around Avignon. The room was very comfortable and the garden was a delightful area to relax after a day or exploring the area. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a homely stay in Avignon. The loveliest guest house we've ever stayed in! I was blown away by the beauty and hospitality during our stay in Avignon. Of the the hotels we stayed in during our trip to France, Les Jardines de Barcane, was our favorite place to rest after a long day of traveling. The breakfast set up was so thoughtful and the gardens absolutely dreamy. Do no hesitate to book a stay with Olivier!

We spent a wonderful five nights in Avignon at Les Jardins de Baracane. All communications were extremely helpful and prompt, and their advice during our stay was top-notch. We are both in our early 70s but managed the stairs up to the top (4th) floor - just made us feel better about eating all the wonderful food. Olivier's restaurant recommendations were excellent -- be sure to get a reservation at Fou de Fata!! Thank you Olivier & Laurence - our stay in Avignon was the best part of our month-long European vacation.

In some 50 years of travelling, I can truthfully say that Les Jardins de Baracane is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The bed and breakfast lies just inside the city walls in a quiet street within easy reach of the historical centre.||The 17th century building exudes charm and the five rooms are generously spread over three floors. We stayed on the top floor in the Jardins de Babylone suite which had every comfort without losing its historical charm.||There are beautiful gardens and a swimming pool which, despite it being the end of the season, owner Olivier reopened for my wife. Olivier and Laurence are the perfect hosts. Olivier will carry your bags up the ancient staircase. Breakfast can be a simple coffee and croissant or more varied on request.||We found Les Jardins entirely peaceful and relaxing. We slept well. Olivier is a mine of information. We stayed three nights - not enough, and we look forward to returning.
