I was an exchange student here 1983-84 and I loved it - huge cultural learning experience as well as improving my language skills. I became ill on several occasions during my stay, and the nuns were absolutely lovely, even though I wasn't Catholic myself. They helped by listening and even slipping me some extra food when I was short of funds. Abbé Carton was the director at the time - I still remember him telling us about how the honeybee was the symbol of Angers - he was a hoot. The teachers were excellent - I could have been a better student and attended classes more regularly, but I still managed my Diplôme de Langue de Niveau Supérieur. All in all, I made some lifelong friends here, and I learned so, so much-history, literature, geography, business, even a class on slang (a good portion of which is no longer in vogue). I would recommend UCO to any US student looking to broaden their cultural horizons without breaking the bank by attending the Sorbonne! 😁

Dear UCO, I was paid my 1st year tuition fees for my MBA 1 at UCO , Angers France through your @ Galaxy Educational Consultants now around one year after i paid my fees. As I was i did not joined for the course but still i did not receive my fees refund.

They take money 6k in euros but they can't respond back à mail or give concerned documents for applying visa. They play with our money. This university doesn't even bother to hear to a phone call and the faculty is so bad they don't even speak English properly in international department. Their is no value for the UCO certificate once you finish the university

It was a nice experience

c’est vraiment inadmissible que les étudiants ne reçoivent pas l’intégralité de leurs notes en une journée comme dans d’autres établissements. trouver vous ça normal de commencer les partiels en avril et d’attendre les notes jusqu’en fin mai début juin?? il y a un vrai manque d’organisation auprès des profs, les étudiants ne devraient pas à attendre pendant si longtemps afin de savoir s’ils ont validé l’année ou pas.

Mon expérience à l’UCO a été très difficile. L’année 2024-2025, j’ai souvent ressenti du rejet, des moqueries et un manque de bienveillance, aussi bien de la part de certains étudiants que de certains enseignants. Cela m’a profondément marqué et m’a poussé à consulter pour surmonter ces épreuves. J’espère sincèrement que l’université mettra en place davantage d’écoute, de soutien psychologique et de sensibilisation au respect entre étudiants. Personne ne devrait se sentir isolé ou humilié dans un lieu d'apprentissage c'est pas normal.
