I’ve had constant back pain for the past 15 years. It increasingly grew worse and started causing pain and numbness in my leg and foot. Dr. Nesterenko performed a fusion on my back in December. It’s two months later and I can now say I am pain free. He is absolutely an amazing doctor with very good bedside manner. He genuinely cares about his patients and makes sure you have the very best care for your situation. All of his staff are amazing as well. I really can’t say enough good things about him or his staff. Definitely would recommend him as your go to for all your surgical back care needs!

59 year old active female have fought back issues for over 30 years but tolerable. March 2025 back issues worsened, I was unable to stand or sit for too long. Painful to walk my dog a mile. During pain onset I was using a cane to get around. November 24th Dr. Nesterenko performed L5 S1 Hemilaminectoy and Foraminotmy. I am 6 weeks post op and its a BLESSING to be able to walk without pain. I am mobile without the instense pain I fought for so long. I was hesitant about surgery, all the horror stories of ending up worse. However, Dr. Nesterenko discussed all options and probabilities of outcome. Dr. Nesterenko was very attentive and answered every question and addressed all my issues/concerns. I never felt like just a "patient" in his office. I felt like he genuinely cared about my health, and discussed options in details. Dr. Nesterenko and his entire staff were very professional, supportive and attentive to my health. I highly recommend Dr. Nesterenko for addressing and helping you make the right decision for your spinal issues. I can not beleive I fought this pain for so long, and wish I had done it sooner. I went to Dr Nestrerenko for pain and numbness and tingling. It was making my life miserable. Dr Nestranko spoke with me in terms I could understand and did not rush into any decisions. He listened when I explained why the plan we sat out didn’t work and we would adjust the plan. We finally had to accept surgery and he made sure I was comfortable and understood that it may not be fully successful . The surgery was a success in my opinion. I still have some pain but it was explained this could change as the muscles realign and the pain I have is nothing to what I was dealing with. He answered all my questions quickly and completely. I would recommend him to anyone

I’ve had back pain in my lower back for 30 years, Finally got severe enough for treatment, I was pleased to know that the doctor had the same type of procedure done on him. I found him in a staff to be very kind. Did a great job answering questions and preparing me for a long-term healthy back…. Definitely would recommend this high-quality of healthcare to anyone.. All my appointments were very prompt. They were always courteous and helpful… The level of care and detail was impressive.

I consulted Dr. Nesterenko to find relief for my spinal stenosis with neurogenic claudication, which caused chronic back pain and bilateral sciatica. After recommending removal of my non-functioning neural stimulator and ordering comprehensive MRIs, Dr. Nesterenko identified the main problem area on my spine. Though arthritis affects my whole body, the back pain was the most severe. I’d previously undergone four lumbar surgeries, one cervical, and one wrist surgery; this would be my fifth lumbar operation. My own research suggested that, without surgery, I was at risk of becoming wheelchair bound and needing a catheter. I chose to proceed, and Dr. Nesterenko performed my surgery on July 15, 2025. Two months after surgery, I am mostly free from lumbar pain. Dr. Nesterenko and his staff—Sixtus, Edwin, Anita, and another caring team member—communicated compassionately and explained everything in simple terms. The diagnosis was spot-on and the treatment plan effective. Throughout my experience, Dr. Nesterenko’s team demonstrated professionalism and teamwork. They even went the extra mile. When my insurance provider initially declined to cover the surgery, Dr. Nesterenko’s office persistently advocated for me until coverage was granted. I am deeply grateful for their expertise, support, and commitment to patient care.

I had a herniated disk in my lower back that caused sciatica pain to radiate down my left leg and especially painful in my left ankle and top of my foot. After 2 years of pain management and PT, I was referred to Dr. Nesterenko. He was extremely knowledgeable as to what the best course of action was for my surgery. Since I had small bones, a small incision was made in my left side. He took care to cause little or no nerve damage by going through my side. I received a spacer and 2 screws in my spine. I’ve had no pain and no nerve damage since the surgery. Thank you Dr. Nesterenko! You are the best!! I highly recommend him if anyone is looking for the best surgeon. My surgery was June 3, 2025.
