Avis
This establishment has been under new management for about 2 months so approach previous reviews with caution. First the good points. Veronique, the new patronne coulldn't be friendlier or more welcoming and breakfast was very good and plentiful. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner allowed us to sleep without being troubled by mosquitoes which are plentiful HOWEVER.......during a three night stay the room was neither cleaned nor the towels changed. The very small bathroom did not have a door, just a curtain. There was no WiFi available either in the room or around the pool area or garden and most inconveniently neither credit nor debit cards are accepted - cash only. At €140 a night I expected better.
We had a beautiful stay in a beautiful room. Veronique made us feel very welcome and was a superhost. She even gave us free breakfast because of the bad weather. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed here because it offered good value, in a location right in between Saint-Tropez and St-Maxime. There’s a mall right across the street & a good bakery just steps away. It’s very private. Nice pool area, but it is a bit of a mosquito magnet. They were very proud of their breakfast but we were unable to stay for it. The room was comfortable & the operators were very nice. Very secluded. Only a few rooms. Free parking was available on the street in front.
This guesthouse was really charming, there was a small pool which would be amazing in the summer. Breakfast is included and this is served by the pool and include pastries, bread, fresh juice and coffee. ||The room are quaint, so much so that there was not a door on the bathroom just a curtain. Not a problem for us but it could be depending on who you are staying with. ||One thing to consider is that the owners do not speak much English but are very friendly, luckily my boyfriend speak enough French. ||The location is around a 20 minute walk from the town of port Grimaud, which is where we got the boat to st tropez which was lovely.
If you want to visit St. Tropez but the hotel prices that go through the roof scare you then is the place to be. A bit hidden B&B style place to stay with large A/C rooms and a small but deep pool. There is a shared balcony. Reception is very friendly and helpful. In the morning there is a simple but completely adequate breakfast. Excellent value for money.
The Mas de Marie (located according to maps in Port Grimaud and, according to its address, in Cogolin) is a simple place -- not fancy by any means -- but it is charming place run by a charming proprietor! Quite small (I think the B&B had only 3 rooms), Veronique has decorated the rooms with an eye to comfort, adding simple touches that managed to be both homey and chic. The large rooms opened onto a balcony overlooking her garden, where a delightful breakfast was served. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll hope to stay at the Mas de Marie again.
This is a very small but lovely hotel. There are only 4 rooms, all beautifully decorated. A small pool. The free continental breakfast (very substantial) was served beside the pool.||It was a little difficult to find as it is hidden behind large ornate gates in a side street in the Cogolin Port area - not the village which is further inland. I would recommend downloading a google map and street view picture.
Great villa. Much better value than a hotel. Staff went over and above to make us feel welcome. Location great for groups wanting to experience Saint tropez but with reasonable price tag. Drive took only 5 mins to main port parking in Saint tropez.
