Hotel is situated at the edge of Falaise in a quiet spot. Its a standard Ibis, so you know what you're going to get, a clean room, comfy bed and a small bathroom. Staff were friendly & helpful, most spoke English.||Food in the restaurant was good, as was the buffet breakfast the following day. The hotel is popular with tour groups doing battlefield & WW11 tours, so breakfast can be a bit of a trial unless you wait until the coach leaves for that day. ||If you want to cater your own food, there is a Leclerc supermarket nearby and the town of Falaise is a short drive away for cafes & restaurants.||Pet friendly with good grassy areas for walks. Parking is easy in their large surface carpark and is free.
The Ibis Falaise was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our room was adequate in size and the bed and bedding really comfortable. Only negative was the bathroom door opened outwards and blocked route into bedroom area, which we found disorienting.||All of the hotel staff were very helpful, extremely pleasant and friendly at all times. ||The continental breakfast selection was huge and impressive served in a really pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We were part of a coach tour (on bed & breakfast basis) and the management/staff even made a breakfast available at 4.00 am on our departure day which was very much appreciated. The hotel was close to a supermarket but as far as I know there were no other cafes nearby. However, we were able to purchase our evening meals at the hotel restaurant from a menu with a pretty good choice of meals. ||We woukd like to thank all the hotel staff.
The rooms are a little small but adequate We ate every night as we were back at the Hotel late The food was OK But the staff were superb very friendly and helpful Room was clean as was the HotelHaving read lots of bad reviews was nicely surprised.
We were allocated this hotel by Leger Holidays when on a D-Day Landings tour. Location too remote. Cab ride to Falaise, unless you like a long walk. Rooms very, very basic and small. As mentioned in other people's reviews, saving grace is Anne Sophie, who organised cab and restaurant reservation. Breakfast is usual continental offering, and is adequate. Evening menu limited, and always something not available. Would not stay here again.
A fantastic find with great customer service. The room was pretty basic but had a comfy bed and a clean bathroom. There was no a/c but the window opened really wide to allow lots of fresh air in. The restaurant is great and again, the staff are lovely. Food good and there’s lawns all around.
The hotel is basic, but clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. As well as breakfast, the restaurant is open from 7pm for dinner. The hotel is on the outskirts of Falaise, to the north and there is free car parking. The room and bathroom were spacious and we slept very well as it was very quiet. There is an extension being built, but we were not disturbed by any noise from the building works.
All I can say is it's fine if you want bed for the night. Room usual Ibis standard. Only encountered one member of staff upon check in who clearly didn't want to be there. Breakfast was good had some cooked items as well as cheeses, meats, fruit, etc. Outside town on roundabout although we did walk into town in about 20 minutes as had to get something to eat as restaurant was closed in July.
Clean room and bathroom. Good WiFi. |The room was warm, so we left the window open. The AC was off. Noise in the carpark, from inconsiderate late arrivals, interrupted our sleep. |A 20 minute stroll into town, footpath all the way.|A good LeClerc across the road.|The property is a little tired. But a new block is being added.
