What a beautiful place to stay! A warm welcome, gorgeous setting and really enjoyable stop on our road trip. Spacious rooms, comfortable and modern despite the hotel having a lovely rustic feel. Delicious breakfast on the terrace overlooking very pretty gardens. Highly recommend this wonderful place either for a weekend away or an overnight stop.
Nice property. Would have preferred a king sized bed for the size of the room and only having a one handed shower was odd. Lovely breakfast on the outside terrace. Would stay again but would first compare elsewhere. Solid value.
This hotel is in a very convenient location with easy access from the motorway but in a quiet village. There is only 1 restaurant in the village and it is difficult to get a table in the small interior when the garden in not available out of season so a car is necessary to go further afield although Beaune is only a short distance. The hotel and garden is very attractive and authentic and there is adequate onsite parking. The owner was not the most helpful. The breakfast was disappointing - none of the staff checked whether anything needed replenishing & nothing was - it was consequently very minimal - For E18 it was underwhelming. 4 stars for the convenience of location - would stay again but would hope for a more generous breakfast.
Beautiful hotel with a kind staff. Pool was chilly in October, but still nice to take a dip. Feels totally relaxing to stay here. Breakfast is self-serve, charming, and cozy. There's a nice cat that enjoys saying hello to you at breakfast (maybe hoping you'll share some smoked salmon). Had a nice conversation with another couple staying at the hotel at nighttime in the lobby. Would highly recommend!
My wife and I loved our 2 nights at the Hotel le Clos in Beaune. Beautifully maintained and restored. I loved all the exposed brick and stone. The room was large, quiet even though it was near the lobby, we were never disturbed with others coming and going.||Lovely courtyard and garden where we of course enjoyed wine from the region. Exceptional service, willingness to speak English, and offered plenty of tips for visiting the region. We had a car so parking was included with plenty of spaces. It’s just outside of Beaune and a very easy drive to the city center. Worth the stay!
We had a lovely 2 nights stay whilst visiting Beaune. The Hotel is a beautifully restored farmhouse with modern rooms in a village [Montagny-Les-Beaune] about 4k from Beaune. You need a car, plenty of free parking at back. Really nice breakfast. No dinner provided so you need to plan ahead with a reservation in Beaune. Wifi available but patchy in room. Friendly staff, charming place to stay.
Stayed here recently for 7 nights and what a treat. Close to the motorway but still a remote village location, we loved our room and the beautiful gardens and pool (pool isn’t heated but once you brave it it’s very refreshing!) Location is great for visiting the beautiful centre of Beaune or the stunning villages of Mersault, Pommard and Santenay to name a few. The service was second to none - the staff were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Most guests stay only a night or two so we felt like family by the end. Three points we think could be improved but did not spoil our stay 1. Breakfast We paid £160pn and were a little surprised breakfast was not included and cost 18 euros each. We treated ourselves one morning and it was delicious but 36 euros each morning for breakfast seems a little steep. We went to a local bakery and got pain au chocolate and baguettes instead. 2. Shower Our room didn’t have a walk in shower - it had a bath with a handheld shower. This didn’t prove to be a problem per se but sometimes it would have been nice to have a walk in shower after such a long hot day 3. Sometimes noisy with kids in the pool As a couple without children we often stay at adults only and have become accustomed to this. We like to lay by the pool or in the gardens and read. Some afternoons and evenings it could get quite busy and loud with families - or even the residential property Nextdoor where a child seemed to kick their football consistently against the hedge lining the hotel pool on afternoon. It was peak holiday season - August - so family travel is to be expected but we just didn’t expect a smaller guest house / romantic hotel like this would be a place for children.
Charming hotel, even more remarkable when you see what the building looked like in 2002. Very close to the autoroute. ||||This hotel offers bed and breakfast, although the fact that you must pay for breakfast is NOT CLEAR when you book with Booking.com where it is NOT included in the room rate. Breakfast is 18 euros per head for basically a cold buffet. Obviously this happens a lot because the charming receptionist mentioned it straight away. ||||The restaurant next door was closed when we visited so the nearest alternative was 4km away (excellent by the way). I would stay here again but I would not choose the suite - the bed and shower room is up a steep staircase and the toilet is on the ground floor (though this was explained at check-in). Very comfortable bed and good shower.
