Needed a reasonable priced place in the centre of Aubusson and this place fitted the bill perfectly. Right on the main street this is a cafe bar downstairs with a few basic rooms upstairs. This is no Hilton, but the owners are lovely people, very friendly, the location is great, the rooms and bathrooms are small but clean and for the price you just can't find complaint. Heard very little noise from the bar downstairs and as we were on the rear of the building, little street noise, so if you want the genuine French experience instead of corporate uniformity, this is it. Lovely little town out of season, so easy to park right outside the hotel, not sure how easy it would be in the Summer months. A few cafe bars and restaurants, within a short walk, but nothing what you would call chic or trendy - proper rural Limousin.

Perfect for a quick stop over. The staff are friendly and speak some english, emails are answered quickly. Rooms are basic but clean with a bed, en suite with a shower and toilet and a small TV. A fan provided for warm days/evenings. Parking is free and on the street but there is always somewhere to park in the town. Its above a cafe which is good for coffee in the morning. Walls are a little thin so you can hear other guests but it is well located and perfect for the cost concious.

Nice staff who speak some English however ordered food and all was reheated from frozen. Ordered pasta and was in tiny paper container which was still ice cold and rock hard at the bottom. Attempted to reheat and still ended up dead cold at bottom which was inedible. After second reheat attempt the food became edible and tasted ok however am still disappointed that such little effort is put into preparing the food. Nice atmosphere for a drink or two but do not recommend the food served.

Booked via internet based on price (€41 + €6 breakfast) and got a clean and reasonably sized room in a busy town centre economy hotel. Certainly a very reasonable stop over in this nice little town. Found other good local restaurants to stroll to.

Plenty of hot water. Hotel adequate for price, but paper thin walls and macerator toilets led to a disturbed nights sleep due to noise. However, would possibly stay again.

No nonsense hotel in center of town. Friendly, good service

Really helpful polite staff, nice cafe, very pleasant sitting in chairs out on the pavement.
