Cute city and castle. A short walk around 45 minutes from RER B, even shorter from city center like 10 minutes. Takes 5 minutes to see everything. Dogs, bikes and food not allowed inside but you can still view the beautiful scene from outside and have a sandwich right in front. Many people bring their own food to enjoy with the scene or buy from local shops before they go up. Nothing else to do there, you go down from the same path down. It is a bit steep with stairs but not too much. Enjoy!
The entire region is nice (Chevreuse) but the castle by itself is a bit disappointing (except the nice view) - nothing to visit inside it except going on a small rampart.
Free entry, excellent for a walking (randonnée), amazing view. The city is very organized and clean.
Loved walking/hiking to the chateau from St Remy des Chevreuse. Hardly a 30 minute walk, I would highly recommend it. Beautiful light and charming!
Very very nice castle!! Location was super!!! A little hard to reach by walk from the center of the town, which is also a wonderful town especially the little bridges. A castle to visit for sure! Definitely recommended!!
Small castle but it’s worth visiting. You can have an amazing view of the entire city! It’s 30-40 minutes by walk from the train station.
The view is absolutely beautiful! You will need a bit of stamina to make it up to the castle, but is absolutely doable. Also, the store was closed when I visited, so it’s a good idea to check the opening hours in advance just in case.
11th century castle ruins on a vantage point high above Chevreuse. Worth a visit for the views alone
