I visited this hospital in Marseille on Saturday because of an emergency. Even though I couldn’t speak French and only had 1.5 hours in Marseille, the entire waiting time and procedure took just 40 minutes. I didn’t expect it to be that fast at all. The doctors were kind and understanding.

We had our little girl at Hôpital de la Conception’s maternity ward in late January. My husband and I are foreigners who are in Marseille for his doctorate program, and we don’t speak French very well. I really want to thank the exceptional Maternity team who provided us with excellent care and were extremely patient with us, doing their best to speak English and explain all parts of the proceedings to us at each critical point of the five days we spent at the hospital. Because of you, our little girl was born healthy and strong. We felt great about the experience overall. Thank you, hôpital de la conception!

It's bizarre and questionable that my doctor was the son of my husband's doctor and when that came out they transferred me to another hospital. I think the rating is typical for the type of hospital it is. It's not a great choice for an adult. Introducing group therapies would improve things possibly, as well as physical activities where you actually exert your energy. They probably do not have that budget...but those two things could be coordinated without a lot of money. Also most of the staff is extremely rude. I'd say about half of them. Might be because I am american with poor french, but I'm well aware that there are other hospitals with a staff that show no prejudice. The food is absolutely terrible. Go to mon repo if you have a mutuelle, don't waste time here. I was also attacked by another patient who tried to strangle me so I threw her glasses off her face to startle her and then grabbed and held her two arms at her side. Nobody was there to help and nobody followed up about it. They should intervene in toxic friendships between patients, but I think they are just lazy. Spent a lot of time singing with another patient to be annoying. I can't believe the negativity and piss poor attitude that I received there compared to the other psych ward I was in.

A very nice place I have my 3 kids in this hospital and every was super good...♥️♥️
