What a wonderful experience! We had lunch at this brasserie and everything was absolutely superb from start to finish. The dish of the day was duck leg, and it was exceptional — perfectly cooked with tender meat that fell off the bone, rich flavors, and a delicious sauce that tied it all together beautifully. My friend chose the vegetarian risotto, which was creamy, full of flavor, and prepared with such care that it easily stood out as a highlight on its own. The presentation of each dish was elegant yet unpretentious — exactly what you’d hope for in a place that truly understands good food. The service was impeccable throughout: warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling intrusive. It’s clear the staff take real pride in what they do, and it makes a huge difference. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with just the right balance between lively and comfortable. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and good conversation without feeling rushed. Overall, an outstanding experience — wonderful food, perfect service, and a lovely ambiance. We left already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!
Delicious, beautifully presented food in a classically elegant room. Reasonably priced, considering the quality, and a good choice of wines. Great service too.
good service & good food. I came for lunch with my colleagues on 30 October 2024, we ordered their pork sausage which all of us really enjoyed and waffle for dessert. strategic location as it is located in front of the Place Wilson, we came here for lunch after we did some shopping at Galleries Lafayette and nearby stores.
Paris comes to Brasserie Le Capoul Dec 2025 • Friends 4 December 2025, reservation for 2 @ 20:00. Arrived, restaurant empty apart from two solo diners. Three serving staff, one in a black shirt, polite and welcoming. Two others who appeared to be in high spirits and excited in each other’s company as judged by there constant giggling. Ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list, ‘sorry we don’t have any in stock’, ordered a different label. Both ordered the beef (39€). Waited, no water, no bread, needed to ask for both, in a restaurant with 4 diners. The beef was served on a flat rectangular wood/ceramic plate, with a bowl of fries and a miniature saucepan with a sauce. When one of the dishes was served, it was placed on the napkin therefore the juices from the beef spilled onto the tablecloth: no apology or attempt to clean the mess. Beef good but not special, soup bowl of fries soggy and greasy. Other diners arrived , table’s of 6/3/2 . When orders taken the 2 servers disappeared from the dinning room. Sitting by the window we could see the two (not the black shirt) sitting in the adjacent shop doorway smoking. When the finished plates were removed from the table, once again the beef juices were tipped onto the table cloth leaving a large stain. Maybe the serving plates were too heavy for the server to carry properly, but again no concern or apology offered. Having received poor unprofessional, disorganised service I decided a gratuity was not merited. When I asked for the check I also asked if service was included, I was told ‘NO’. I then explained that we were vey disappointed with the poor service and had service been included we would request this was deducted from the total. I was presented with the check, and I paid. A week later when sorting through receipts and credit card slips I read the receipt from the restaurant which seemed to have been cropped. For interest, the following day when passing the restaurant, I checked the menu and a service char
Great food but horrible service. Ordered wine and never received it. Didn’t have silverware to eat with and let the waiter know, they came back with a knife only and I had to wait 10+ minutes to be able to ask for a fork and had to eat my food cold. Then to top things off they took my plate from me before I was finished eating literally was chewing my last bite so I couldn’t say anything. Just beware if you decide to eat here.
It's 20 years since I've dined at Le Capoul. Much changed: staff informally dressed; no pyramids of fruits de mare. A sign of the changing times. Still very good, but so much competition nearby.
I found this restaurant accidentally , I passed by many times and never went in,and actually it's a very good one, already the service it's just top, the waiter was that kind of pro who's making you feel very comfortable fulfilling kindness, I appreciate that , the dishes just boom of pleasure in mouth ,the fish is just top, thank you ))
The atmosphere at this restaurant was great. The staff upon walking into the restaurant were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and filling . We had a white wine with our bass meal, we wish we asked for the name of the wine it was very nice. I asked the waiter for desert recommendations( see attached)
