I came here on exchange and left early because it was so bad. They were disorganized and unwelcoming and did not have the bandwidth to host exchange students. I tried getting involved in student life and clubs but they told me they had no space for me. I tried making friends using a buddy program and my buddy said he had no time for me (when I went to the school to ask for a new buddy they did nothing). I have learning disabilities that require accommodations and they did not provide them even though they were the same accommodations that some local students were getting. The class schedule constantly changes without notice so I missed a lot of classes because they were changed to the day before or the same time as another class I had. I cried in the international office countless times looking for solutions to my issues and instead of issues being resolved, I left feeling humiliated and hopeless. The mental health services don't know enough English to help international students. The professors don't seem to have any verifiable content, they just teach their opinions. I was shocked that none of my professors mentioned theorists or research studies to back up what was being taught or let us learn more on our own. I kept a list of everything that was going wrong that the school refused to help me with and by the end of the semester, it was 4 pages long. Even the student I knew who liked it there liked it because there was nothing to learn and no homework so if you value your education, this isn't the place for you. The day before my last exam, they asked me to meet them to discuss the issues I've been having as if it wasn't too late to fix anything. They only did that because I mentioned wanting a refund and contacting the ombudsman. I felt like they saw me as a money grab and did not care about my experiences.

I waisted a lot of money and time doing all the papers in 4 days deadline given. French side never replied. So i cancelled my application because ibdo not want to risk my life - going to Alps in winter and getting no responce from French side (university). I applied in october for exchange and in november started big pushing towards completing all the application stages. My questions were not answered and i could not acrually find my study unit in the list so it was”ok” to choose random unit. Organizer is too busy to answer. No support, no trust. Do not recommend. Only money and time waisted, a lot of stress, last moment pushing. I sent e-mail 3.11 asking about application in paper and today 6.11 at 19:37 still without answer. Deadline for papers is in one week time. Answer attached. Do you want to trust this unit? Would you go to Alps in winter and trust people who simply do not reply? Who are you going to ask help for? French police? 112? School coordinator in Finland? Or maybe book some hotel 300e night? No thank you.

Tout ce qui est "vie étudiante", vous pouvez déjà oublier. Les groupes d'amis et de travail se font entre savoyards. Des mentalités trop fermées au sein des promos. Vous êtes constamment jugé (surtout si pas savoyard) durant tout le cursus. L'ambiance est assez malsaine par moment et renvoie parfois même au collège (séances trop perturbées,...etc). Des chargés de TD inefficaces et trop de TD bâclés (même dans des UE importantes). Les profs ne sont pas très réactifs aux mails... Quand une UE est importante, elle est souvent mal enseignée... Les informations sont mal transmises (modalités d'examens, dates, notation,...) L'apprentissage se complexifie pour rien : diapos quasi vides comme support, pas de vrai syllabus, TD bâclés...etc Des profs font aussi leurs TD sans objectifs clairs. Tout ça accumulé rend l'apprentissage très pénible sur la durée... La vie associative est quasi inactive. Pas de vrais ateliers de professionnalisation comme dans d'autres fac. Ne pensez pas vous épanouir ici. BU mal équipées (ordis,espaces clos,chauffage,..), ambiance austère... Les campus sont assez mal desservis (bus soit en retard soit en avance et seul moyen de transport...) voire morts en pleine journée. Peu d'événements programmés et un peu fantômes quand il y en a.. Peu de formations vraiment intéressantes sauf pour l'IUT qui fait son effet. Toujours pas de faculté de médecine ou de nouvelles formations en sciences ou autres (hors IUT). Pas d'innovation structurelle non-superficielle jusqu'à maintenant. Dommage car la fac est à taille humaine et profite d'un beau cadre (Savoie), elle aurait pu être une bonne fac mais entre les défaillances pédagogiques, le manque de perspectives et les clans savoyards au sein des promos, ça n'a aucun intérêt.

Campus éloignés de tout, salles de cours et amphithéâtres tous éloignés l'un de l'autre et bus constamment en retard ou trop plein avec des chauffeurs sans pitié, bien sûr. Tout les bâtiments ont l'air triste et gris. Les professeurs sont sois trop stricte alors qu'ils n'enseignent qu'une matière très mineure et enseigne des cours clairement peu travaillés par leur part, sois trop laxiste alors que leurs partiels sont très important et difficile à passer. Distributeurs dysfonctionnels : ne fonctionnent qu'une fois sur deux et beaucoup de chances de tomber sur de l'eau chaude à cause des boissons peu remises en stock. Administration paresseuse, voire méchante. L'infirmière et son personnel ainsi que le personnel du restaurant Crous sont visiblement les seuls à savoir ce qu'est la politesse et le savoir vivre... En bref, si vous voulez passer vos études supérieur à courir après des adultes déjà diplômés, censés vous aider et vous accompagner : l'USMB est faites pour vous.

Mon fils s'est inscrit à cette université pour une licence d'informatique . Le tronc commun informatique mathématiques est en fait une grosse supercherie , sur son emploi du temps il y a environ 70 % de mathématiques . il a signé pour de l'informatique et ses languages différents , pas pour une licence de mathématiques . Une honte , il pense arrêter .

Catastrophique.... Problème récurent aux différents examens (non inscrit malgré les échanges de mails, dyslexie non prise en compte...), et ils essaient de retourner les responsabilités malgré les preuves en leurs défaveur. Quel manque de professionnalisme. Ces fonctionnaires en entreprise privée n'ont aucune chance.... l'effondrement du pays est en partie dû a vous.
