Staff were quite unpleasant (Margox in the roof top bar in particular) and when the bars shut at 11pm it's lights out by 11:30. If you're still outside by midnight you'll be 'shushed' by security - it's a very dull place at night. Particularly didn't like the pool areas, very overcrowded and in keeping with other Sandaya campsites there is no food or drink anywhere near the pool, can't take a drink from the bar past the gate to the pool area which is a trek and they have the strict speedo's only rule. Our 'Cottage' was lovely, near the beach and the beach is very nice. Food wasn't great, bar and shop were very expensive and I'd heard the kebabs the butcher prepared were terrific - but teeth aren't sharp enough for meat that tough! Not much to visit in the surrounding area, Bezier's isn't worth the trip.
Enjoyed the modern mobile home. Big surprise when getting there, you clean the whole place yourself, like it was when u received. It was my first time experiencing this at a 5 star camping ground. But according to Camille who politley smiled "this is normal at all french campgrounds, you can pay 89euro for someome to wash toilets and floors- but the rest you still do". The list to do is write behind the toilet door. Would be nice to know this before booking. Aside from that, great vibe, great access to beach and nice people.
Unfortunately our experience was utterly ruined by a super loud disco on a Wednesday night in April. The music was absolutely too loud with subsonic bass booming out past 10.30pm making it impossible for small children trying to sleep, let alone adults. Even though I complained and asked them to turn it down they continued to play at the same level of volume. Unless you want your children's hearing permanently damaged I would advise you to avoid this campsite.
Stayed in a chalet with our 3 year old twins, we'd been here last year, and both times have been excellent. Excellent facilities, swimming pools nice and warm, great for kids and adults. Playgrounds, and bouncy castle great to keep the kids entertained. Food and drinks on site is good, and the supermarket is well stocked. The chalet itself was lovely to stay in, nice outside seated area, and the AC worked perfectly. The beach is a few minutes walk away, a lovely beach, nice and clean, perfect for kids, and really nice for a walk along it. A mention to Bridgette in reception who was very helpful at both check in and check out. Many thanks, we had a lovely stay, and will definitely be back again in future!
We have just spent a fabulous time at this campsite with two small children. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff are very friendly, especially those in the kids club and evening entertainment . Prior to travelling I read previous reviews here that I thought were very helpful. |Firstly, just to reiterate, what previous people have said in that there is not much around the campsite . if you do want to explore the area, most taxis, anywhere nearby start a €50 one way. We didn’t hire a car and found plenty to do in the campsite. We enjoyed a cycled to Serignan on one of the days. The pool facilities are fantastic with a baby pool stop, jacuzzi, large pool for doing lengths and three waterslides. There are two restaurants and a supermarket which is quite expensive but not prohibitively so.|We are already planning our return trip
I spent a week here with my family recently (20 of us in total staying in 4 different cottages) The campsite itself is fantastic, so much to do there and the waterpark was great for adults and kids. Direct access to a gorgeous beach and very close to Beziers airport. |The only downside for us and the only reason why we wouldn't return was the staff. They were really appalling, had no interest in helping us or being friendly towards us. From the reception staff, bar staff and restaurant staff , they all came across so ignorant, not just us, we noticed their behaviour towards other families also. |We stayed with sandaya campsites before and the entertainment was always top notch but pretty much non existent in this campsite so overall a very disappointing stay.
Our 3rd Sandaya and this one didn't disappoint. Good size pool for the park with multiple slides (considering the beach is on the doorstep and pulls quite a few people away). Decent normal pool for sunbathing and a kids warmer pool also. The layout and format of the site is consistent with other Sandayas (this is why I think they are doing well and we like them - good processes, good consistency of service). The site is split in two by a small access road/track to the beach which is frequented by other users and we were a bit concerned at first about possible security issues but it's well managed and didn't affect the site. The newer cottages (Hula and Moho) are across the road from the main site but it's literally a few steps away and wasn't an issue at all. Animation team tried hard to entertain throughout and are always present and smiling (even when it seems like it's their night off). Kudos to the team. Only downside I noted was the inability to have more premium drinks (e.g. cocktails) at the snack bar which is used for the shows. I think this is to keep the service quick and it did work to be fair. Loved 'La Pig Chenilliste' chap from France has Got Talent. Cracking night. Shop well stocked and normal price for the area (considering on site) - decent sized Carrefour within 10 minute drive.
Lovely campsite with good shower block which had large private cubicles incorporating private wash bowl and plenty of hot water. Available toilet roll, hand soap, hand dryers and’s hairdryers all very modern and clean. |Adult only supposedly heated swimming pool, but children were using and lifeguards didn’t seem to mind. Didn’t really bother us but why call it adult only if it isn’t!!!|Very close proximity to beach and good shop, restaurant and bar with entertainment. The thing that spoiled it for us was the abundance of mosquitos in fact it was terrible and if sunbathing around the pool area we were also bitten by tiny black flies. People were basically just sat trying to slap them away. We ended up being bitten terribly on first day so could not go to pool area again in the week we stayed. It was such a shame as the pool area was lovely. The management really do need to fumigate as it wasn’t possible to sunbathe in comfort due to being bitten to death. We would not come back due to this
