This hotel is very convenient along the highway, but far enough not to have any noice. We stayed with a dog, which can be booked yourself through the B&B website. Room was very clean. The room is also rather small. Not a problem when just staying for sleeping.
Not our first time using this hotel and usually all is fine except on this occasion we could not get into the hotel. We arrived just after 9pm and as we had already checked in online we knew our room number and passcode. The passcode would not open the entrance door. As reception had closed we used the 24/7 help point. The first try no one answered. Second time we were lucky and after speaking with the helpdesk they confirmed our number was correct and prompted us to try it again several times. All with no luck. It looked like there was a problem with the number 2 key on the keypad and since our passcode contained this twice it compounded the problem. The chap gave us another number to try and this worked and we gained entrance. However as we had to go back to the car for our bags one of us had to stay inside the hotel to let the other back in. We found other people also had the same problem and had to let them in too. The room was a disability room on the ground floor. We had booked a twin room but found a double bed. This was not a problem for us but it could have been for some people. Although the room was spacious the person who slept next to the window had a very narrow gap between the bed and wall so the room is not truly wheelchair friendly, only if you slept on the right hand side of the bed. The room heating did not work and we had an oil filled heater left in our room. The heating control panel had bare wires showing. The spacious bathroom contained a hair dryer which is not always the case with B&B hotels so this was a bonus. However as this is a wet room it would have been nice to have a mop or squeegee to dry the floor after our showers. We had to wear our shoes into the bathroom after showering to avoid wet feet.
Our stay here was wonderful. Staff were friendly with quality all the way especially breakfasts. The room and bed were comfortable, cleaned daily, the shower powerful and air con essential as temperatures were in the 30’s centigrade. ||Self serve breakfast had hot food (bacon & eggs) three types of cereal, croissants, chocolate croissants, four other types of breads, ham, local Pyrenean cheese, little pots of fruit puree, great coffee choices (at least 6 options) fruit juices - thankfully high quality tea - all high quality and I’m sure I’ve left stuff out. ||We drove four hours from Bibao Spain on motorway to this out of city B&B. I think for two including breakfast it was £75 a night, free parking and faultless WiFi, watch as wifi signal may drop overnight. Pets are charged about £3 a night. ||We advance booked 5 nights; ground floor room. Guests must pay local tax on arrival about 1 euro pppn but I’m not sure if pooches pay this tax. ||We would return here in a heartbeat. We arrived at noon it was deserted; we pushed a button for help and told return at 2pm. We got back 4pm punched our booking number into a machine got a 6 digit front door and room access code. ||There’s a huge hypermarket Leclerc five minutes drive away with a range of shopping and the cheapest fuel. We got to an Auchan hypermarket 15 minutes drive away on the road to Lourdes. It was much more relaxed shopping. While my wife found lots of hairdressers there’s not a nail bar to be found. ||We found the B&B hotel a tad difficult to locate on arrival despite the fact it is literally five minutes off the motorway. If you see Kyriad you’re close by (it’s more visible). Do remember French motorways are pay: our 180 miles came in over £25 with diesel prices between £1.33 (around Pau) and £1.62 on motorways. Even crossing the border they only want your money - free movement my derrière. Thousands of lorries and cars queued to pay and cross and one customs officer stupidly standing in the middle of the m
Small standard room compared to other B&B establishments. Great location for city and onward travel. Close to some good places to eat, even with 2 dogs! Male host this morning less welcoming than the usual B&B experience. Location and little noisy with lorries working nearby overnight.
Nice, clean and quiet…downside is it’s not close to the center of town…had to drive for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was very nice and the parking was free. Rooms are on the small side..bathrooms really small. Good place if you are doing day trips out of Pau.
Excellent hotel at this price. Clean communal areas and rooms, friendly service, good breakfast. Rooms a little small when configured for family but fine for overnight.
Repeat customer, good location, car park , nice staff and close to restaurants.
We were unable to book a disabled room, so we thought we would put up with normal room. This was not a problem until we saw the bathroom in room 303. The shower cubicle would only fit a size 6 and was a waste of time. Went down to reception and a very nice gentleman helped us out and gave us a disabled room out of thin air, when there was not a room available previously. 🤔
