Avis

3.0 Adam Bennett

Nice spot, nice village, great if you want to fish, but parked like sardines in a tin. If you've got a neighbour who snores or has a yapping little dog the size of a rodent, it takes the edge of your stay.

5.0 Donna Cook

Awesome!! Arrived bang on opening and had the entire castle to ourselves!!! One of the frw places we visited that had English descriptions.

4.0 Enjoy life

Superb castle overlooking the Dropt Valley, in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne, which has spanned the history of France. An atypical monument, it blends the Middle Ages, the 17th century, and the Revolution. Since its purchase by the Duras town hall in 1969, the château has undergone restoration work which might spoil your visit ... One can explore the history and architecture of this listed Historic Monument through the 30 restored rooms. The Duke and Duchess's apartments were finally refurnished thanks to a partnership with the Mobilier National, allow you to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the 17th century.

Great views from the courtyard and from inside the place. A really interesting history and a lot of the information was in English which was good . The price to view the castle was fair. Duras is a nice little town which is well w9rth a visit.

Very friendly staff and well worth a visit. Wouldn’t bother with the audio guide if you’re English as there are explanations throughout, but depending on how much you want to understand. Fantastic views!

5.0 Rhod Lewis

Fantastic location to watch the sunset! And the village has an amazing night market during summer which is well worth a visit.

Very quiet in mid September. Excellent self guided tour. Good restaurants in the square outside for lunch.... Don't be late, last orders 1330

5.0 Suzanne Haynes

A community owned castle/chateau with so much history. Some rooms have props others are empty for your own imagination. Theres a shop, toilets and great views. Definitely worth a visit before or after the markets down town
