We had the most amazing holiday at La Ravoire. The site was very clean and I felt very safe letting my children (7 & 10) have freedom to roam. We stayed in a ‘Venus’ mobile home, which was very comfortable. All the staff were lovely and the entertainment was excellent. My daughters particularly enjoyed the Mermaid evening, the cooking morning and an introduction to scuba diving. Lake Annecy is just beautiful and there is so much for the whole family to do. Highlights included cycling round the lake, Summer tobogganing in Semnoz, the giant slides at Wam park and the amazing zip wires at Seythenex. Just a perfect holiday, I can’t recommend this campsite enough.
We stayed in their new caravans. Had a great time! Only downside, the shower was broken and apparently could not be fixed during our stay. A bit unfortunate with a baby. Otherwise everything was great!
Just returned from France in our camper-van and stayed at 3 sites whilst there, La Ravoire was the best by far. The pitches on all 3 sites were quite small and shaded. The toilet and shower facilities here were probably the best I’ve used. They were extremely clean, showers were adjustable and hot, the toilets had paper and a toilet seat. There is an option to use a dishwasher though the dishwashing facilities were also excellent. We used the laundry facilities also which was fine! The pool and bar facilities were great, having had a meal on 2 occasions. The pool is a bit cold but after a few goes on the slides you soon got used to it! There is a small shop, but the stock was understandably low due to it being only days to them closing for the season. All the staff are polite and friendly. There is access to the cycle path and cycling around the lake was amazing. I’d definitely recommend the site and hopefully I’ll return again.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)||We had a really enjoyable stay at La Ravoire Camping and would happily recommend it, though there are a few things worth knowing before you book.||Pros:| • The campsite is lovely: always clean, tidy, and set in a beautiful location.| • Excellent toilet and shower facilities, and the pool is great fun. Staff kept things safe on the slide when present, though it did get a little chaotic when unsupervised (up to 10 people at once!).| • Staff overall were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of organised activities for all ages.| • The children loved the park and spent countless evenings making friends.| • Direct access to the cycle path is fantastic for exploring the area.| • The on-site shop was excellent, with fresh bread daily and a good selection of basics.||Cons:| • We stayed in a Mercure cabin which had no air conditioning. In two weeks of 35°C+ heat, this made things very uncomfortable. That’s on me for not checking, but it’s worth flagging for others.| • The end-of-stay cleaning felt excessive for the price paid. You can opt out for €95, but it feels steep – and raises the question of how “clean” a lodge is when left to departing guests.| • The shower temperature was unreliable, swinging between scalding hot and freezing cold.| • WiFi was essentially unusable across the site. Fine for most, but if you need to work, expect to rely on patchy mobile data instead.| • The restaurant was decent but didn’t quite live up to the glowing reviews. The food was okay (chips consistently dry), though the value for money was good and the staff were lovely.| • Sun lounger rules around the pool were inconsistent. Many guests left towels out all day without using them, yet when we reserved loungers early, ours were removed. I don’t mind a no-reservation rule, but it should be applied consistently.||Overall:|La Ravoire is a good campsite with lots going for it – beautiful setting, strong facilities, and plenty for families. Some areas could be improved (
Our third holiday at the lovely La Ravoire and it won't be our last. it's a great small campsite, very friendly and safe. Easy to cycle from here along the lake and visit the gorgeous little beaches. Bar and restaurant is very good, nice low key activities. Just need to heat the outdoor pool and it would be perfect!
One of my favourite ever sites. Outstanding location, service, reception staff were helpful. Toilets were immaculate, pool was perfect and the whole site just felt friendly and safe which was perfect for us staying as a young family. Will be back! Thanks for a great week here end of June early July 2025 😁
Amazing amazing amazing!! Had such a lovely week with family and extended family. Stayed for the first part in the cottage and the plan was to try some other sites for a couple of nights but we ended up being very lucky and getting to stay there for a couple of nights in our camper! The kids loved it. We will certainly be back! Thanks La Ravoire ❤️
Went for a weeks stay in June weather was wonderful campsite clean and friendly occasional paraglider flying with his pet geese in the morning. Views stunning of mountains .pool is nice but more of a fun pool than a swimming pool so lots of kids splashing about .bar area nice restaurant good .if you stay near showers it's a bit noisy but camp has a notice of quiet by 10pm till 7am so that's good .staff are extremely helpful and friendly. And on a personal note thankyou Julie for sorting my broken tooth out so rapidly within 30 mins of breaking it I was in the dentist. Your amazing. We loved the site .
