Yep it's busy, but you can't argue against tourism if you are one of the tourists. Apart from a 20 minute queue for the house, the gardens were as I expected, beautiful. It is well worth visiting the museum first and understanding how the house fitted into his life and work.

The visit to his house is super quick; the day I went there was a somewhat long line, and honestly, it wasn't as worthwhile as I thought it would be. But on the other hand, the garden with the flowers, and the famous lake on his property where he liked to paint, and where there's a famous painting, is beautiful. It's worth a visit in my opinion. It's not big, but it's still lovely to see the flowers and the lake.

Breathtaking scenery, landscaping, paintings and some amazing history here. Something everyone must do on their first visit to France. Only issue? Immense amounts of tourists on a small, narrow pathway that take away the magic of the grounds. This gorgeous place could really benefit from being "Tour Groups Only". Otherwise, truly a spectacular place.

We had a fantastic time at Monet's house and garden! We had timed tickets so we didn't have to wait in line to get in. I've loved Monet's paintings for many years and wanted to visit Giverny. So we stopped here on our way from Paris to Rouen. The garden was in bloom and we saw for ourselves the inspiration for many of his paintings. Seeing the house was also great. I highly recommend a visit here if you have the opportunity.

Our visit to Claude Monet's House and Gardens was truly one of those rare travel experiences that goes far beyond expectations. The house in Giverny, set in such a charming and serene place, feels like it literally transports you into another dimension, one of perfect harmony, beauty, and calm. The location itself is simply flawless. Every detail, from the interiors to the gardens, reflects a deep sense of artistry and intention. Walking through the water garden, across the iconic bridge, surrounded by endless shades of green and flowers, feels almost surreal, as if you’ve stepped directly into one of Monet’s paintings. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our road trip through Normandy. I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates art, landscapes, photography, or simply wants to experience a place that has the power to slow you down and completely immerse you in beauty.

Amazing experience. We rented bikes and cycled from Vernon, very easy ride and simple to park. Book your tickets in advance as it's packed all the time. Gardens are stunning (even in mid march) and when the sun comes out it's simply glorious. The house is small but very pretty too and the gift shop is excellent, especially when it rains and you need a place to shelter! Spent over 4 hours in the garden in the end, taking so many photos of flowers. Difficult to get by some areas as so many people but patience and a smile go a long way to getting you your shot!

It was the peak Spring flower blooming season when we visited and the gardens were astounding. A truly remarkable home with breathtaking gardens. Giverny is definitely a bit of a detour from everything else and signage could be better in terms of how to reach the house, but once there, it is definitely a must see for anyone who loves art. Arrived as early as possible and pre-purchase tickets to help manage the crowd size at the site.

Well worth visiting. Booking of tickets in advance recommended. However they are available on the day but there will be a long wait. The Gardens are stunning as expected and it was a real treat to look around the house. We stayed in our Motorhome on the Car Park overnight which was absolutely fine. Quiet after the majority of the people had left around 6pm. Nice and safe. Free to stop, you will need to be self sufficient.
