Our whole family has been regular clients of Villa Garbo since 2018. Every time we visited, it was a pleasure: the owners were amazing, the service exceptional, and the cleaning impeccable. We had breakfast included, our bed sheets were changed every day, and water was provided daily. There were also open bar hours with free snacks and champagne. The owner even gave us towels for the beach every morning. However, in January 2024, we received very sad news from the owners that they had sold the villa to other people. This was devastating, as we visited Cannes every year and always chose Villa Garbo. This year, we decided to return to Cannes and stay at Villa Garbo, though we expected it might be a different experience. However, we did not anticipate being so disappointed. First, the hotel manager was rude during our email correspondence, and only after we mentioned that we were regular clients did she change her attitude. When we arrived, the staff was very cold, unfriendly, and passive. When we asked for beach towels, they said they didn't have any but could provide extra room towels. Upon returning from the beach, the manager suggested we reuse the towels, even though they had sunscreen and oil on them. It took constant reminders for the room to be cleaned. Our coffee capsules, shower gel, dishwashing soap weren’t renewed, as well as kitchen towels. Our terrace wasn’t cleaned during the whole 2 weeks! The hotel corridors were dirty and the garden too. It wasn’t even pleasant to sit on the outdoor sofas, as they were dirty. One of the managers didn’t even look at us when we wanted to greet her. BUT THE WORST PART OF OUR STAY WAS THAT MY SISTER'S LINGERIE WAS STOLEN! THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME WE HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE IN ALL OUR YEARS AT THIS HOTEL. WE ARE NOT THE TYPE TO LIE, AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER CAN VOUCH FOR US. OUR ITEMS WERE STOLEN, AND THE HOTEL STAFF DID NOTHING! THEY WEREN'T EVEN SURPRISED. THE LINGERIE COST 500 EUROS AND WAS IN OUR ROOM WHEN IT DISAPPEARE

I am extremely impressed with how kind the owners and management of Villa Garbo are. The one-bedroom apartment is beautiful and decorated with the prettiest pieces. They have a new Nespresso coffee machine, diffusers, and a TV. Plus, the view is incredible: you can see the palm trees of Cannes, enjoy the sunset, and the blue hour. The colors in the apartment are quite dark, but it is undeniably beautiful. They are extremely generous. We booked the apartment for three days and the studio for the rest of our stay, but they upgraded us and gave us the apartment for our entire stay, which is about ten days. This is my first day, and because they have been so generous and kind, we decided to give them five stars and post a review immediately. Honestly, highly recommended. Additionally, it's just 5 minutes away from Martinez and the shops are so close, within walking distance. We chose room 120, which was near the roundabout, but we were pleased with being able to see the city vibes. Thank you for everything 💘

After a few nights in Nice we wanted to stay in Cannes and found this little boutique hotel. We were greeted by the Manager Johan, offered drinks and a detailed guide to the hotel and Cannes itself. The apartment was lovely, and at turn down the sofa bed was opened up for my daughter. There was plenty of space, lots of lovely touches that I won't spoil for you! But rest assured, you won't be disappointed. ||Villa Garbo is on a busy roundabout, but the double glazing means there's no noise, the air conditioning works perfectly - a nice touch is that the bedroom can be a different temp to the rest - and it's a very short walk to the sea.

The location is excellent and the property has a huge potential to be a really top location in Cannes. The problem is that almost all rooms have really old carpets. The staff are helpful and friendly but definitely need more staff. No one is there to help with luggage and most of the time there's only one person visible. Value for money is lower than expected. No parking available and for unloading luggage it is a very difficult matter...

Firstly the location is ideal, a short walk to the public beach (opposite Hotel Martinez) and across from Rue D'Antibes. Secondly the accomodation is kept at an impeccable standard, the rooms are classically decorated and are a size ideally suited for a family. It offers a fully functioning kitchen and comfortable sofa beds that our 2 children enjoyed. Breakfast was lovely and the open bar from 6pm - 8pm was a wonderful surprise, a great way the either wind down or spoil yourself before dinner. Lastly and the best character of Villa Garbo is the staff, manager Johan supported by Elena and Chantelle take real pride in welcoming you as a house guest rather than a customer giving the property a sense of a home away from home and an air of relaxation and exclusivity. They went above and beyond to make us feel part of the 'family' providing local knowledge and assistance no matter the time. We would absolutely visit again for it would feel like seeing old friends.

Lovely hotel, very personal welcoming from staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. Flight was not till the evening and we were able to use the lobby and facilities throughout the day. Beach only a 5 minute walk. Good location from shops and beach. No private beach but able to hire sunbeds along the beach front. Nice touch with the place where they would offer free drink 6-8pm to get everyone together. Would stay again.

Here we had the best service in this hotel like it should be. The house is great and very nice, enough space to stay. All the guest supplies are special and the bed is perfect as well as the furnishing, technical equipment and the special Breakfast with homemade cake, fresh squeezed Juice, delicious tea etc. ||Very unique is the friendly and professional way like the staff and the host are!!!||This made our stay in CANNES very special and we will never forget and will come again.||Also I do not want to forget that you have in the Appartement a nice small kitchen.

The apartments are really old and need some renovation. Many things not working like the iron, the window is broken too. The hotel is near a roundabout and it’s so noisy. The management is good somehow but I’d rather find a more comfortable and relaxing accommodation .
