VILLA OCCITANA RESIDENCES

As someone who has been to villa occitana multiple times in the last few years, I left extremely disappointed and will more than likely never go back unless it changes back to the way it once was. Previous times I have visited, most recently April 2025, before my last visit, the menu had been the same and the drinks were the same delicious cocktails. However, I’m not sure if there has been a change of ownership or what the story is but it has completely gone downhill. Previously cocktails were delicious, original to villa occitana, extremely great value for money. The cocktails myself and my boyfriend got this time, I don’t think you can even call cocktails! They were watered down, almost tasted like no alcohol in them, in miserable slim Jim glasses and charging the same price!! Absolutely awful. Next was the food…. I had hyped up this place to my boyfriend, ranting and raving about the food. Well once again we were extremely disappointed. We had a “beef salad”, that had 4 small pieces of beef and was on a bed of noodles that were soaked in what just tasted like vinegar. Next we got crispy prawns, the prawns hadn’t been cleaned, still visibly dirty on the inside! The other food we got was okay but again nothing special and nothing we would go back for. The staff were also very rude and seem incompetent. We were never asked how we were getting on, we asked for water never received it, placed on a crammed table for all our food. We had planned on staying for the evening , specifically booking on a Saturday evening where we could spend the night having some cocktails and relaxing to end our holiday. But that was far from the case, we couldn’t have gotten out of the place any quicker and instead left and went to another local restaurant were the food and drinks were much tastier and better and for a fraction of the price. From A-Z a great resort. Our room was modern, well concipated and very homey. So close to the pool and restaurant, I loved to sit out and drink my coffee in the morning. A special DJ night with a buffet was a highlight. The electric cars to take us through the resort with our luggage was a great surprise. All staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 (which is usually not easy to reach ) !! Yes, we will be back.

Amazing gem on our way back to Switzerland. It's surprinsinfly beautiful, in the heart of the nature. The wooden rooms and villas are great, spacious and well decorated. The facilities and the restaurant were the highlights of our stay. Hope we will be back, 1 night was not sufficient to enjoy everything they had to offer.

Villa Occitana is an amazingly relaxing place. The Sky bar is a fantastic area to enjoy good food and great drinks! It's a brand new hotel, and there were a few missing details (hooks for towels for instance), but I have no doubt that these small details will be fixed quickly, as the place has amazing service - for instance we asked to have the sitting furniture on the terrasse changed, as they weren't that comfortable to sit in for a longer time, and they were changed within the hour and with a smile. We had a Cabana, and it was lovely to have our own, private terrace to enjoy the evenings, the only downside was the slight bit of traffic from the Sky Bar visitors that were being brought from the reception area up to the bar by the golf cart. Plus points: Relaxing atmosphere Beautiful and clean pool area Spacious room (Cabane) Airco wasn't pointed at the bed (Thank you!) Spacious, private terrasse Smart TV Great WiFi in the room. Good sized fridge in room to cool your own drinks and snacks Enough 'closet' space to unpack your clothes The view from the sky bar!!! The service from the staff (breakfast lady was fantastic!) Ooh yeah, the breakfast! hoooly moly that was amazing!! In general the food and drinks was amazing and well priced. Minus points (nothing that ruined our holiday) Traffic on the 'main road' to the sky bar during 'rush hour' A few finishing touches to the room, like the towel hooks (probably already fixed) Be mindful that Villa Occitana is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. There are lots of stairs, and steep hills to climb, but also lots of friendly staff that are eager to drive you up and down the hill in golf carts. All in all, we had four wonderful days at Villa Occitana, and we will for sure be back in the future!

We stayed for 10 days in a cabana. The room was nice and big. Two showers, good (and silent) working airco. On the terrace we had at first two beach chairs, but we asked for better chairs and they arranged it immediately. The pool was also nice, not very big but okay. The poolbeds were enough on quiet days, but there were also days that there was no bed to lay on. Also not much shade at the poolside. Then there was the Skybar, a nice cocktailbar with a tapasmenu. But because of the succes of the bar, you had to wait a long time before drinks were made and delivered. As a longer staying guest I noticed that they're still searching the best way to manage the resort. But I have to say that all the people working there are very nice and friendly. I drew the conclusion that this resort is not meant to stay in for longer then 1 or 2 days. The closetspace was very limited. As a hotelguest I didn't always feel noticed. After a day away from the resort, we came back to find no parking space because of all the external guests visiting the Skybar (happened twice). It seemed that the Skybarvisitors were more important, they always got a ride on the golfcart, where we had to climb the hills every single time. The other point is the service at the pool. You could once in an while send someone down to ask if the people laying there would like something to drink. You could have earned so much more, if you had done that. Also put a Spa-book in every room, so guests know what you're offering. And loose the papercups, glass is much more better for the environment. And for the future maybe also some chargestations for your customers cars.

Great experience overall in skybar. The team is pretty efficient and ambiance is clearly here to help during waiting time. The view is astonishing and the feeling is really close to what I experienced during my life spent in asia. Food is clearly thai inspired and as tasteful as what stay in my memories. Special thanks to our waitress Lea and Arnaud the owner who managed to take time to discuss about his project in villa occitana and life in asia. All in all, if you look for grwat experience in food, hospitality and asian resort feeling without flight cost, it's the place to go.

The rooms are very nicely set, taking advantage of the topography of the area. The pool area is very nice and refreshing. Access to bar was very easy offering good views of the region.

Amazing cabins but self-catering facilities are very limited with no cooking facilities or equipment at all. Skybar restaurant on site is expensive with limited options
