Highly recommended. Beautiful relaxing environment, impeccable service, delicious and copious breakfast equivalent to a five star hotel. Great restaurants in the area, wonderful hiking, a haven of peace.

It is well worth visiting Ille-sur-Tet just to stay at Les Buis. Sergio and Carlos are charming, attentive hosts who speak several languages. They provide delicious breakfasts, as other reviews have described; on our last day, we had a really gourmet almond tart. I consider myself an expert at scrambled egg, and theirs is faultless. Breakfast is taken outdoors on a terrace with a view of the beautiful garden, which is perfectly peaceful. The pool is great for a refreshing dip, and there are lots of elegant areas for sitting and relaxing.||The house is a stately home, beautifully furnished with Spanish and Portuguese antiques. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms modern, with every facility.||It was good to have no TV in the room! As there is no aircon, you do need to ask for a fan in hot weather, but then it is fine.||Sergio and Carlos are cultured, charming people who make you feel like members of their family. You can sit in their lovely library and browse their books.||Les Buis is a very special place, and I recommend it very highly.

We stayed for two separate nights in September in Les Buis in Ille sur Têt and enjoyed a wonderful time on both occasions, enhanced by the welcome we received from our charming host. The house itself is a delight – a 19th-century on-the-street mansion. The double doors open into a tiled and marbled entrance hall, leading on to a library and lounge, beautifully furnished in period style. Our bedroom – a suite on the first floor, was most tastefully furnished with every luxury provided. It overlooked a delightful tree filled garden and pool. Breakfast, served on the garden terrace, was beautifully presented and the fare provided was truly delicious. We would recommend this delightful residence most highly to anyone travelling in the area.
