Service is terrible. The manager was very rude and started shouting at me for storing a bottle of wine in the fridge of the hotel room! Recently stayed in a 5 star hotel and they hade NO problem with me doing this there. Avoid, many other better hotels in Calvi.

Liked · We had the most perfect view - the sea to our left and ahead, the citadel ahead on the right and the mountains to our far right. We could not have been more delighted with our room and view. We only booked it at 4.30pm, a couple of hours before arrival on a Friday, as we were on a road trip so were not sure how far we would drive that day. It was my husband's birthday the next day and he was able to wake to the marvellous view and also eat breakfast outside on their restaurant balcony with a great sea view too.||The room was very nice - airy, spacious and very clean with everything you'd need - power points in the right places, comfortable bed and nice lighting. The minibar was locked but that didn't matter as I expect we could have had it open if we'd asked.||Breakfast was great - really good choice and good quality food. The seating outside on three sides of the light airy restaurant all had fabulous views and gave the option to shade from the sun. The swimming pool was heated - 29C - luxury! Very nice sun loungers and chairs too. If we return to Calvi this will be our hotel of choice for sure. It is right next to the citadel, the old town and marina area which is full of shops and restaurants. It is only 15-20 minutes walk from a beautiful beach.||We were arriving by car and a little nervous of where we'd be able to park in a busy city. We stopped briefly at the entrance and I ran in to ask advice. The lady on the front desk immediately handed me a 'parking space 11' sign and opened the small car park gate to let us in. That was completely unexpected but very much appreciated. It was €17 for the 24 hours to park. You can park in the adjacent public car park (at the base of the citadel) for €15 per day but that was full most of the time we were there.||The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. We'd wanted to stay another night but it turned out that we were there the same weekend as the Motorcycle Trials World Cham

It is a wonderful hotel with great views, a nice pool and spacious rooms. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast has good selection. The price is quite average for the island, and pretty decent for what the hotel offers. The only thing that other people have also commented was the use of the room fridge. There is a warning in the rooms that the fridge is not to be used for "outside" food and drinks and if so there will be extra charges and the fridge access will be locked. I found this unpleasant and unnecessary, because your prices are already very reasonable, almost the same price as the convenience stores, so people would use the mini bar or the facilities you provide to eat+drink on site. However, there are things customers would also like to enjoy having in their rooms while they stay. Like fresh fruit in the afternoon, or a bottle of wine with cheese on their peaceful balcony. Please do not enforce this as a rule, and I am sure people will give better reviews that you highly deserve, while still purchasing the very reasonable mini bar offerings. Thank you.

When we checked in the hotel we forgot two cycling bottles at the reception desk. When we realized we had left them there, we came back to get them, the hotel owner told us that he had throw them away, to teach us a lesson, to not leave behind our personal belongings. A rude man with zero customer tact.

I had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience at Hotel Saint Christophe in Calvi. What began as a normal stay turned into an upsetting incident due to the behavior of the hotel manager, which I believe prospective guests should be aware of. During our stay, the manager unexpectedly entered our room while we were out and proceeded to throw away personal items, including my stomach medication and food that I had brought with me for health reasons. These were not perishable items left out carelessly, but personal supplies stored appropriately. This was done without any prior warning or communication. When I tried to understand what had happened, instead of receiving a polite explanation, the manager responded by yelling and harassing my girlfriend in a manner that was completely inappropriate and aggressive. There was no apology or attempt to calmly discuss the issue. His behavior was unprofessional and intimidating. Apparently, the hotel has internal rules that prohibit guests from eating or drinking anything in the room, including coffee, which was surprising. These rules were not clearly communicated at the time of booking or check-in, nor were they displayed prominently in the room in any language. If we had been informed of these unusual restrictions, we would have happily complied or chosen different accommodation better suited to our needs. Instead of a courteous reminder or a simple conversation, the management chose to escalate the situation by invading our privacy, discarding personal belongings (including medication), and confronting us in a hostile manner. This kind of treatment is not acceptable in any hospitality setting. While the hotel location and view may be good, none of that compensates for the disrespectful and aggressive behavior we experienced. I urge future guests to be aware of the hotel’s unspoken rules and to consider whether this is the kind of atmosphere they want during their stay in Calvi. I rarely write negative revie

My partner and I just got back from the most magical stay at hotel Saint Christophe. The location is unbeatable, right by the citadel, with panoramic views over the water at breakfast. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the heart of town and the marina and a very easy walk to Calvi beach through the town. Staff were wonderful, kind and welcoming, rooms brilliant (air con was fab) and the pool was lovely too. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, we loved it. Thank you Hotel Saint Christophe!

Many of the other reviews discuss some quirks of the hotel. Locked fridge and set of rules given to you. We used the safe with no problems. We stayed on a Newmarket holiday and it was one of the most enjoyable we have had. Our room faced the ocean and pool and was quite adequate if you were out during the day. We had a balcony and it was pleasant to sit there with a great view. The water was always hot and it was quiet. The staff (apart from the owner or manager - perhaps a smile and bonjour would have been nice) were most welcoming and most efficient. . Food had no choice but everything was good, especially the fish soup. Strange that you had the same fruit salad as at breakfast one day. It was good that mostly Corsican in style. Wonderful touch to have a welcome cocktail on our first night and wine was served with the meal. You should realise that Calvi is very hilly and it was quite a climb down to the town from the hotel. Corsica is a wonderful and country and Calvi a beautiful town.

This was the 3rd of our stops in Corsica and by far the nicest hotel. We had asked for a sea view and, wow, what a view it was. The hotel had the feel that it had been recently refurbished and was exceptionally comfortable and, for us, ideally located.|We had opted for a simple continental breakfast, but it was plentiful and freshly produced. We definitely intend to return.
