Amazing view and delicious local food. Friendly staff, family friendly. I loved the vibes so much I painted the view from its terrace! (Thanks for the rec to our airbnb host Catherine!)
Nice open terrace and relaxing atmosphere—beautiful sea view and the soothing sound of the waves. If you’re looking for a festive vibe, enjoy your meal while experiencing special live music nights and cultural events. The staff is very nice, with leadership that is both kind and discreet. The main course takes a little while to arrive, but hey, you have time to enjoy your drink, the view, your friends, and good conversation. I even overheard a lady asking for a quicker service for her and her kids, (she was part of a 25 people group) and the waitress made sure to accommodate her request. I don’t understand some of the bad reviews about the $3.50 coffee—I’ve paid the same price at a simple bakery. As for that complaint about a $50–60 bill per person, you’d have to drink quite a bit to reach that amount! This place is a must-visit for both tourists and locals. It truly offers a great combination of good food, fair prices, and an amazing setting. It’s not fancy, it’s not super classy—it’s just a comfortable place where you can relax and enjoy, whether you’re dressed up or simply in your shorts and bikini. Could there be some improvement, yes sure, but Im sure they will as they go along, I think one of the challenge will be to have a constant level, but Im sure staffing challenges w it hard for business owner to always be on top of their game It is now one of our go to place
La Baie des Pélicans provided the perfect, breezy finale to your hike along the littoral trail from Les Salines. I found it to be a quintessential seaside shack where the relaxed atmosphere and the sound of the Atlantic waves make it easy to celebrate the miles you've just put behind you.
Food was good, small portions, No leftovers. Only bad part is all the cats. After we finished our food an were admiring the icean view, we look away and a cat jumped on top of table while our food was still here. None of the staff care, but not that great for prices. Ummm I wouldn't go back.
Terrible place. I have never experienced such an incredibly rude and unwelcoming reception anywhere before. We came because the location is beautiful, but upon entering it was completely unclear where we were supposed to go. Instead of being welcomed, a woman suddenly approached us and loudly said “hello!” in an aggressive tone, followed by a lecture about how we should “communicate normally” and that it is “normal to say hello when you enter.” When we tried to explain that we were simply looking for a nice place and enjoying the surroundings, she did not let us finish and continued speaking to us in a very condescending and hostile manner. There is no rule that customers must welcome themselves—on the contrary, hospitality means that guests are welcomed by the staff, not scolded. As polite tourists visiting Guadeloupe, we felt extremely uncomfortable and unfairly treated. Because of this disrespectful attitude, we left immediately. A beautiful setting does not make up for such poor customer service and lack of basic courtesy.
Great experience, service is friendly, food good, view stunning
Nice easy going restaurant overlooking the harbour.
Nice place to hang out with friends or family, having local meals. Some people are complaining about food or service, but overall it's pretty good. I'm enjoying the view and atmosphere. It's open on Sunday evening. If you wish to come here, don't expect high ranking food and service, it's just a friendly restaurant. Just nice to be there, enjoying the moment...
