I have been a loyal Amazon customer for over 5 years. I have never defaulted on a payment, never abused policies, and have spent hundreds of euros on the platform. Today, I feel completely let down. Since 30 January, I have been trying to recover a refund that was sent to a bank account that has been closed for months — despite informing Amazon in advance. What is most concerning is that every customer service agent gives a different explanation: “We issued the refund, our job is done.” “After 10 working days, we’ll refund it to a new account.” (That did not happen.) “You must send proof that the account is closed.” “You must send proof that the bank rejected the refund.” “Your bank will refund you by check.” “It’s our policy, nothing can be done.” The information changes every time. There is no accountability, no consistency, and no concrete solution. On the phone, I was explicitly assured the agent would not disconnect the call — yet she still hung up without resolving anything. After years of loyalty and good faith as a customer, being treated this way and left without my money feels deeply unfair and unprofessional. Extremely disappointing.

I’ve been locked out of my Amazon account for years after changing my phone number, and despite multiple attempts to recover it, nothing has been resolved. This month alone, this was already my second time contacting support to try and fix the issue. Today, I called Amazon France and was transferred to the accounts team. I was asked to provide information I simply cannot have, like recent purchases (when I haven’t had access to the account for years) or an Audible account I don’t even have. While I was trying to explain this, the representative abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation. I was not being aggressive. I felt humiliated and discarded. What makes this situation even worse is that my account contains e-books I paid for years ago. I still have receipts from 2019 and 2020, but I’ve been completely locked out of content I purchased, with no meaningful help from Amazon. Being unable to access your own purchases is already frustrating. Being treated like this when trying to resolve it is unacceptable.

Ordered and returned two items. One month later and still no refund and no one to ask. The website just takes you in circles. The website says if refund hasn’t been received, contact us. But there is no link, no number, no email address. NOTHING! What horrible service!

Very poor service, and way too many stated "delivery attempts" when I've been home waiting (for one I had to contact my credit card provider to get my monies back via a credit card chargeback - fortunately the evidence that Amazon's courier lied about making a delivery attempt was clear enough for me to get the monies back quickly), though the prices are often so cheap compared to high street stores that I still reluctantly use Amazon.

The way they tried to secretly introduce a long term Prime contract in the purchase of a product is close to criminal. These practises should be banned and made illegal. Please be very, very careful when you decide to order something via this website!

Horrible. More than one month I purchased an item and still not delivered. Started a remboursemnt procedure almost a month and all they keep telling me is my money is blocked. 552 euros wasn't picked from a tree. Amazon France return my money.

I tried ordering from Amazon France ONCE and it was just an unnecessarily complicated, convoluted, awfully frustrating experience. I feel like everybody there is just lazy and doesn’t want to work. I’d rather do 4 years of engineering and learn to assemble the product myself than ever order anything from Amazon fr lmao

Never use Amazon France. They do not deliver your goods and you cannot contact them. Go to a shop and buy it that way you have your goods in your hand when you pay for them, Amazon are not to be trusted with your money
