Stunning place with so much history. Arrive early or late to avoid the crowds. Nice shops inside - make sure to bargain a lot since you obviously pay more as a tourist. We were offered a beautiful carpet for 4000MAD and ended up paying 1800MAD.

Ait Ben Haddou is truly magical. Walking through this ancient ksar feels like stepping back in time, with its stunning earthen architecture rising beautifully against the surrounding landscape. Every corner tells a story, and the views from the top are absolutely worth the climb. The atmosphere is calm, authentic, and incredibly photogenic, especially in the golden light. It’s one of those places that leaves a lasting impression - an unforgettable highlight of Morocco and a must-visit for anyone exploring the region.

Unfortunately, I had only one hour to visit the castle. So I suggest you to take at least three hours to enjoy the magnificence of the place. There are few buildings to enter, especially the casbah, up to the rooftop terraces, and also the riverbank around the site. And why notvtaking a break for some local food. Absolutely unmissable!

Definitely a UNESCO protected world heritage. The strong wind almost took me off. Come with strong mindset; you might have to walk to top.

Beautiful unesco world heritage site. We visited early morning to avoid crowds travelling on day trips from Marrakech and we never found it too busy. If the river is dry, walk in that way as you get a much better view than taking the bridge!

Really lovely place to visit if in the area. You will recognise from many films! A lovely walk / climb through and to the top for amazing views. Very helpful and knowledgeable guide made the experience well worth it!

It’s still quite beautiful and very photogenic. However, most of the rooms are now occupied by shops, so there isn’t much of a sense of local culture. The original structures were largely destroyed in a past earthquake.

Beautifully restored space! We had a fabulous guide who gave us very useful information about the place. I would highly recommend
