Stayed at Club Med La Plagne as part of a large singlesport group in March. I had a small single room which is perfect for one. The hotel is clean and pleasant, though the décor is slightly dated, though the food is excellent, especially the lunchtime BBQ's on the terrace. Being ski in / ski out makes a big difference, especially at the end of the day, and on a sunny day it's great to have a apres ski cocktail (or two) on the terrace. I had a fantastic weeks skiing with our instructor Damien. A great holiday and my only criticism is that the bar ran out of Chantilly cream to go with the hot chocolate and rum.
My fifth trip to this particular Club Med and overall my 23rd Club Med ski trip. ||We chose to drive from the UK - overnighting in Annecy allowed us to arrive in resort in time for lunch. We were met as we drew up, our car was unloaded and we were given the passcode for the underground car park. All very efficient and it was not long before we were being given our wrist bands and ski passes (which started that afternoon). ||We had a very pleasant double room. Plenty of storage and comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean and functional although it did have rather weird slatted "windows" that opened onto the bedroom. This meant that the stream from the shower would condense on the surface of the exterior wall above the window resulting in some black mould growth. I didn't notice this until the last day and I immediately reported it to reception so it could be remedied before the next guests arrived.||Food was very good - always lots of tasty options. We discovered the rear part of the restaurant was a child free zone which was really welcome because considering there were no European school holidays the week of our trip the resort was full of kids of all nationalaties. I don't think I've ever seen to many - do not expect to book outside school holidays and find it a peaceful atmosphere. Those times seem to be no more.||Ski in ski out was as great as ever - we had amazing weather while we were there so the terrace was a great place to hang out in the sun. ||There is no doubt that the Club is starting to show it's age. I understand that it is closing at the end of the 2027 season for a major refit and enlargement project. While this will be welcome Club Med Plagne 2100 has unique atmosphere which should be maintained. This is due to the building being a manageable size and it's fabulous terrace which is right on the ski slopes and which I believe is unique in winter Club Med's.||All in all another great trip and I return for visit six in January next year.
We're regular Club Med users & this was the 2nd time in La Plagne.||Yes, the hotel is a little tired (due for demolition 2027 we we told) here and there but its location is brilliant. Rooms were clean and comfortable though being slope side, it did get noisy at night but we felt this was not down to Club Med guests. ||We had fabulous weather so to be sit of the decking in the sun was amazing. ESF were brilliant with us brits as usual & our 10 yr old son had a great time in the competition class. We didn't use mini club this time.||Restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and you can sit and look out over the mountains. Good choice of food though vegetarians/vegans might struggle a bit. Food could have been warmer at times. Transfers flawless, staff very friendly and helpful. ||A lovely family experience overall but not if you don't like young kids as there's plenty of them about during school hols! ||
Walk straight onto the piste from the hotel! Rooms are very clean ,with lovely mountain views. The food is really varied with many choices for each meal. the kitchen made some fabulous Christmas treats such as macarons and champagne and a beautiful firework display. Staff are attentive and friendly. Good quality ski equipment and staff very helpful.
Great Member with close to 10 stays – deeply disappointed by serious decline at La Plagne 2100 As a Great Member with close to 10 Club Med stays, I have personally referred over 50 families to Club Med over the years. This was our third visit to La Plagne 2100, and unfortunately, it will be our last. Security & leadership concerns: During our stay, approximately £400 in cash went missing from our room. There were no signs of forced entry or a break-in, and the passport was securely kept in the safe. Based on the circumstances, we are certain this was not a mistake. What was most concerning was not only the incident itself, but the management response. While the Resort Chief did appear to be trying, the overall leadership response felt weak and disjointed, and the issue was not taken seriously at an operational level. Being told to simply “go to the police” offered no reassurance, ownership, or sense of internal follow-up. Kids Club in clear decline: In previous years, the Kids Club was vibrant, busy, and a highlight of our stays. This time, it felt noticeably empty and poorly organised. Many children, including mine, found the activities uninspiring and the G.O. team far less engaged than in past seasons. For the first time ever, my children refused to return. Food quality degradation: The buffet has clearly been scaled back. There were far fewer premium options such as fresh seafood or high-quality meats, replaced by repetitive, filler-style dishes. The overall impression was that budget cuts are being prioritised over guest experience. Finally, the once-famous “G.O. spirit” felt largely absent. While a few individuals clearly tried their best, the team as a whole felt significantly weaker than in previous years, lacking the warmth, energy, and professionalism that once defined this resort. We have visited multiple Club Med resorts worldwide, and sadly La Plagne 2100 now ranks as our worst experience. As a long-standing and high-value guest who has brought si
Super impressed with our stay at Club Med. Ruben the manager was fantastic, and so was Paco our ski instructor. All our kids loved the ski club, bounding out every day massively excited. Food and accommodation was also superb and all the staff went above and beyond with a smile on their face. Thank you all!
We loved our (1st) Club Med ski holiday in CM LP2100. We got a slick shared minibus transfer from GVA airport. Friendly Club Med staff greeted us at the hotel, took bags to our room, gave a quick intro, then sorted us for lunch till the room was ready. Very impressive. The hotel location is brilliant for skiing - high altitiude and right on the slope side. You can either ski down to Lovatiere / Becoin lifts at Plagne Centre, or take the short Stade draglift up to the Golf / Roche lift area - and it's equally easy to ski back. Best of all you arrive back at a big decking terrace where you can sit and have a drink in the afternoon sun (hopefully). The hotel itself was also v good, though the decor is slightly "tired" in places. We were staying as a couple over Easter week, so it was busy and "child heavy". If we were coming again we might choose a different week away from school hols. The "all-inclusive" package is a winner with flights / transfers / food / standard drinks / whole are ski passes / inclusive ESF lessons for 5 days (excellent - am and pm 2 days, then 3 long days). Only gear rental was not included (we used Skiset up in Aime Plagne, but Club Med do offer equipment onsite, at a higher price). We thought the food was excellent, with a very wide buffet selection at breakfast / lunch and dinner - including salads, fruit, hot meats fish vegetables, plus some really interesting offerings which I would be happy to be served in a higher end restaurant. This alongside some constant standards (good burgers / pizzas / fries etc). The restaurant does get pretty busy at times, so there can be a bit of a "canteen" feel especially with children running around. But it was all good fun as long as you weren't looking for a fine dining experience. (The smaller "Serac" restaurant off the main restaurant is quieter, but you have to book it. A small range of starters, a fondue and a desert are included as part of the inclusive deal - with paid options available). There was a
I have been several times to la plagne with my son who is a confident skier but this time was about my daughter who is quite timid and “angoissée” when it comes to skiing. La plagne was as busy as ever this Easter; the dining area gets really heaving at meal times and the locker space is very cramped. However the offer/service/food/facilities were as good as ever. I would especially like to thank Nicholas CARRON, from reception, who went out of his way and too a lot of his free time to sort out a special poste delivery of an ‘Opinard’ I sent to my son (as cabin luggage only) to make up for being at GCSE Revision camp instead of skiing… It arrived safely merci beaucoup!!!||I would also like to thank the yoga instructor, Julie, who was really excellent and very kind and friendly. Finally, Enes, the Turkish mime artist / balancing act/ actor was absolutely brilliant, so funny and so very talented; teşekkürler and eline sağlık, if I may say so!
