Amazing experience at this restaurant! We were enjoyed the delicious food and drinks but something could improve. To be honest, I have high expectations but the seafood on ice was a bit let down. They’re not very clean and fresh. The main course area is packed, had to wait around 10min every each time also the service there was somewhat unfriendly. We sat in the garden it was beautiful, the table service was good, the wine was affordable. Highly recommended

We flew all the way from Switzerland last November just to try this buffet that’s been all over food vlogs and wow, it did NOT disappoint! I was lucky enough to snag a dinner reservation two months in advance and booked our flights immediately. Every single thing we tried was amazing, from the appetizers and classic dishes to the desserts. I honestly got so full that I couldn’t even try the hot dishes! We’ve been to some of the top buffets in the world, and even my very picky husband loved everything. Bacchanal in Vegas doesn’t even come close! The dining area is on the smaller side, but the setup is unique and special. The drinks menu is surprisingly affordable by Swiss standards, which was a huge bonus. It’s the combination of refined French cuisine and buffet-style dining that makes this experience truly one of a kind and unforgettable. If you ever see an available slot on their calendar, don’t hesitate—book it immediately! Reservations sell out fast, and you don’t want to miss out on this incredible experience. The staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and always happy to help. We’re already excited for our second visit later this week with our teenage kids who are massive buffet fans too!

Les Grands Buffets in Narbonne is a truly unique gastronomic experience and definitely a place worth visiting at least once. The concept is impressive: a generous selection of French dishes, seafood, foie gras, pâtés, cheeses, desserts and classic products in one place, presented in a beautiful and theatrical way. The food is the main reason to come here. The choice is not endless, but it is more than enough to enjoy a rich and memorable meal. I actually think this is the kind of restaurant you need to visit three or four times to properly discover the different sections without rushing or being blocked by queues. If I lived closer, I would probably visit twice a month, and I plan to return for more detailed reviews. However, future visitors should be aware of several important issues. Communication before the visit was very poor. I tried to contact the office in different ways, but I was never able to reach anyone properly. For such a famous restaurant, this is disappointing. The dress code also feels outdated: guests are still not allowed to enter wearing caps, even during the day. I understand rules in certain venues, but this is a restaurant, not a nightclub or a church. Another point is the advertising around “black caviar”. Visitors should not expect real premium black sturgeon caviar; it appears to be a cheaper substitute. Cutlery was also a problem. Forks and spoons were not always perfectly clean, there was no convenient place to put them between dishes, and they were not changed often enough. Plates are removed from the table, but the system is not always convenient, and there is no clear place to dispose of used plates yourself. The buffet and dining areas feel too small for the number of guests. This creates queues, crowds and pressure in a limited space. In some rooms, tables are placed so close together that it is uncomfortable to walk with plates, and you constantly hear your neighbours. There are also hygiene concerns. Much of the food is ope

Is it the best buffet in the world ? I’m not sure. If you judge a buffet on quality of ingredients, choice of dishes, price & quality of service, it’s probably a top 5 contender. My main question after I’d finished my gluttony was, “ How can they do this for this price? “ and based on all the above, weighted by the price, I have to rate it 5 stars, even though my experience was not perfect. Here are my observations : I thought the choice of wines by glass and bottle was reasonably priced. A decent bottle of Rose for €16. Attention to service was not always timely. I returned to my table with a fresh plate, to find my last plate had not been taken away yet. Also, getting some more bread (my first basket mysteriously vanished whilst I was at the buffet) took multiple attempts at eye contact and a couple of reminders. Parts of the buffet, especially the main individually prepared dish area, can be completely jammed with 30 or more people waiting. They are VERY quick to prepare, plate & serve, but as quick as people take their dish, another person joins the line. The line often obstructs two other serving areas, offering beef, lamb, pork & their special duck. These areas often have no line because they’re obstructed by the other line. My two individual dish choices, beef with foie gras & bone marrow, were VERY GOOD. Not the quality you would get in a Michelin restaurant, but certainly worth €15 each, which is already almost half of the cost of the buffet ! From everything I ate the only negatives I experienced were; some cold seafood had not been rinsed/cleaned well and still contained grit, some of the warm pre-prepared dishes were bland with what tasted like low quality ingredients, the self serve aged meats were difficult to carve due to crowds & lack of suitable(sharp) knifes. There was so many choices, I chose what I wanted to eat very carefully, as I knew I would get full. I almost never eat desert, so I skipped this section completely, choosing to just l

Great restaurant staff is super helpful. Make sure to make your plan on how you're going to be trying all the dishes. The cheese selection is amazing

If you have ANY dietary restrictions, don't bother coming here, period, the end. My husband and I had been trying since August 2025 to get a reservation for 2 at Les Grands Buffet and after checking weekly and running into constant issues on their booking site, we finally snagged a Christmas Day booking for 8 PM. We rented a car and booked a hotel room and drove from Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain on Christmas Day just to eat here. We had seen the reviews online from people like Wolter's World and Mark Wiens on YouTube. We were excited to try this supposedly gigantic, fancy buffet in the South of France. Their website mentioned that they had options for dietary restrictions. We prepaid our meal when booking but drinks are not included, not even water. Whatever, European restaurants are annoying in that aspect. We arrived at the restaurant and found out it's attached to a bowling alley. We had to walk through some sort of disinfectant mister and then head inside. The person who walked us to our table spoke English and showed us to our seat. The seats were crammed together to the point a built in planter box was taking up half of my seat at the table. I had to sit with my chair at an angle to avoid being poked by the sharp corner of the planter. Despite seeing French speakers being given a tour, I was not. This has never happened at any high end buffet that I've visited, and I've been to them all as I live in Las Vegas. A chef has always come out and pointed out what I could and couldn't eat when I told the staff that I had celiac disease. I don't even need them to speak English. I understand pointing and "oui / non." I was handed an allergen binder and found out that ALL of the hot main dishes contained gluten. All of them. The only hot main dish I could have was a slice of beef with no sauce - even the mustard contained gluten. I carried the allergen binder into the appetizer section and had to look at the name of each item and see if I could find it in the binde

We’ve got the reservation after 2 years waiting. It’s worth, plenty of food and the chef just cook your main dish right away in front of you. Tarif buffet affordable with high class service, we did enjoy our dinner and would like to come back again. Price exclude the drinks.

Great once in a lifetime experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. Thank you for the birthday experience. I only wish that they still had children prices because full price for children was not worth it.
