Plage de la Garoupe is a wide and spacious sandy beach, perfect for relaxing by the sea. Some of the beachfront facilities and shops are currently under construction, but the area remains pleasant and easy to access. This beach is also the starting point of the Cap d’Antibes coastal walk, making it a great place to begin the hike with beautiful views from the very beginning.
Excellent little beach further removed from central Antibes and Juan les Pins. #2 bus gets you close. Thin stretch of beach with great sand and awesome water in a secluded bay. Restaurants on the beach. Nearby low cliffside walk along the coastline that stretches for a good 45 min one way 1.5 h return walk is an excellent outing.
The plage is small but so beautiful, you can start the trail sentior from here.
Very cute small beach. Sand is fine.
OK, parking is bad and it's crowded, but this is a beach you have to (try to) visit. The natural location is just so pretty: the sand, the water, the trees, the rocks, and the mountains far away. The rock which sticks out 20cm, about 100m out, is nice to sit on. Around it are small canyons that you can have fun in, and maybe take some nice underwater photos. Humans have added some nice restaurants. And also unfortunately a large private section of the beach and overcrowded parking. There is a lovely walk starting on the south of the beach, around the cape peninsula.
Good small sandy beach with a beautiful blue water. Small due to a privatisation, not a fan. The sand (beach) should be cleaned up more as there is a lot of debris there from the sea which in effect makes the beach even smaller.
Public parking is full due to the private beach club and valet service. Public toilets exist, but the beach is very narrow as the restaurant there took most venue and depending on the time of the year water might contain qualls that sting quite a bit!
It’s actually a beautiful place. Unfortunately, it gets so overcrowded that you often have to wait for someone to leave just to spread your towel in their spot. This, of course, ruins the whole idea of a quiet, romantic lagoon. On top of that, only the most expensive restaurant is open to the public; the others belong to hotels and serve only their guests. Drinks are available to take away, but at bar prices.
