HERB CLAUDE

We went here on a recommendation from our camping owner in Osenbach. We met a very friendly family who dispite the language barrier were very friendly and helpful. We had to communicate in a mixture of bad english, french and german but that didn’t spoil the charm. Although we are very amateur wine tasters we had a great time. Would definitly visit again.

Happen to be in Rouffach for a day. Just a layover from Germany to Burgundy. Decided to see if we can go to the wineries and check out the local favorites of Gewurztraminer, Silvaner, and Rieslings... Drove through the Westhalten in search of something open... Most were closed at 3pm on a Friday... Which was a surprise... But when we drove past this winery and saw people working we just wanted to stop and find out whether we can stop and taste the wines. Weren't exactly hoping for any possibility for the visit since we were turned away at 3 previous ones but nontheless. We were actually invited in and we have tasted some of the most aromatic Gewurztraminers I've tasted. The winery surprised us and I am hoping we can visit again. One thing to note though the owners speak poor to no English, so if you speak French or German you may have better ways of communicating than we have but I don't see it ruining your experience even if you don't.
