We purchased our tickets directly from the official website, which was not only slightly cheaper than buying at the kiosk but also spared us from the long queues—making online booking far more convenient. During our visit, the weather was quite humid, yet the refreshing breeze helped ease the discomfort. From the top, the panoramic views were truly stunning, complemented by the diverse collection of exotic plants. It’s an experience that feels both scenic and unique, and absolutely worth including when visiting Eze.
What a fun garden and great photo spot! 10 Euro per person Quite the track up and around area so if you are not in pretty good physical condition then this is gonna be tough. Visited in February which in the sun it was nice but in the shade with the wind definitely had you putting on the layers. Ticket booth is a bit before the actual entrance but many people were buying tickets at the gate.
Jardin Exotique d’Èze is one of the highlights of the French Riviera. Set at the top of the medieval village of Èze, on the site of an old fortress about 429 metres above the Mediterranean, it combines breathtaking coastal views with a remarkable sense of history. After the Second World War, the ruined summit was transformed into an exotic garden, creating a striking meeting point of nature, stone, and sea. The garden is especially known for its collection of succulents and other drought-resistant plants, including cacti, aloes, and agaves from different parts of the world. Its planting reflects the nature of the site itself: the sunnier terraces are home to desert species, while the shadier areas contain more Mediterranean varieties. The sculptures at Jardin Exotique d’Èze add a quiet, poetic beauty to the experience. Created by Jean-Philippe Richard, they are mostly graceful female figures, often described as earth goddesses, and they seem almost mythical among the cacti, stone paths, and sweeping sea views. Èze’s exotic garden is really a postwar botanical creation built on top of a much older medieval stronghold. That contrast is what makes it feel so special. May not be accessible friendly so please check if any options are available. Tickets can be purchased on the day.
Jardin Exotique is a very peaceful place inside the medieval town of Eze, very well treated and full of different plant varieties, especially cacti. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the view of the sea even tho I had higher expectations. It would be nice to enjoy the sunset from there but it closes at 4:30 in winter. Staff wasn't the friendliest.
The gardens offer a tranquil experience in a beautiful old town overlooking the coast. Gorgeous views and calming waterfalls offer respite from the more urban cities in the south of France. #vibes 💯🆙😎🔥
A beautiful Botanical garden in Eze, France. Along the walkway to the top are many little shops selling a variety of things. The climb is a bit strenuous. There are 100 plus stairs to climb all the way to the top. Once there, you see magnificent panoramic views. Really, this a must see destination if you are touring the French Riveria.
To get the best view of Eze and surrounding area you need to pay the €10 Euros each to visit gardens, which are lovely and have amazing views. Eze it's self is very touristy but the gardens were very tranquil, mu h better than I expected.
If you looking for endless beauty of nature here you will find everything you looking for, mesmerizing views of gardens and surrounding, unique plants , inspiring panoramic views. The garden itself is beautifully maintained, with fascinating cactus and succulent varieties from around the world. It’s peaceful, photogenic, and the perfect place to pause after exploring the charming medieval village.
