Happened to find this spot whole cycling back to Vernon, and Suren was a lovely host to meet, I'll never forget eating that delicious citron pastry, with the delicious tea! The whole garden is beautiful, the history of the house and the conversation we had was lovely. Ill make sure to come back next time 🙏🫶💚 it was a moment in my trip that I'll cherish for a long time
Our off season last weekend of Feb stay was fabulous! We met Suren and Jonathan and it was hugs immediately. So friendly and kind - and our Magnolia room was so beautiful. We took the bikes out 3 days in a row and although everything was closed just had a lovely time riding around. The garden was gorgeous and we enjoyed a celestial citing at night. We ended up having a lovely dinner and played cards…it was like being with family. We have now talked about when we can come back.
My partner and I spent three days at Evergreen last August. Since then, I’ve thought about this place, this little slice of heaven, at least three times a week. First of all, the bed and breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. The garden is soothing and lushly green, and the house is decorated with great taste. The walls are filled with Suren & Jonathan’s paintings and photographs, which tie everything together perfectly. And speaking of Suren & Jonathan, what wonderful, kind, talented, and gracious hosts they are. Suren’s art is as wonderful as his cooking, and if you’re lucky enough to stay during the summer, he’ll prepare some of the most delicious meals using seasonal vegetables from their garden. Giverny is a beautiful place to stay if you love nature, art, and Monet, and there is truly no better place than Evergreen to make the experience unforgettable. Finally, for cyclists: Evergreen is very bike-friendly and easily accessible if you are following “La Seine à Vélo.” We arrived after an 80 km bicycle trip and were able to safely store our bikes in a closed garage, which allowed us to fully enjoy our break before cycling back home. We’re already hoping to come back this summer.
Jonathan and Suren were absolutely fantastic hosts. The house is gorgeous with a very cool history and beautiful garden. The room was comfortable and the chef's meal add-on was perfection. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Great communication leading up to the trip. We were able to walk to the Monet House and Garden in under 30 minutes.
We’d been to Evergreen before, but this is the first time in the new (an even more stunning) location in Vernon. To say that staying here is a pleasure is an understatement. Our hosts Jonathan and Suren went to great lengths to ensure our stay was not just remarkable, but perfect in every way. The food alone is a reason to come (unfortunately we were so busy eating and enjoying our food that we forgot to take pictures). The rooms are spacious and have all the comforts of modern life, without losing any of the French countryside charm. The grounds are beautiful, and even in this very early spring, you can already foresee how beautiful everything is going to be in full bloom. We are already planning our return to this paradise!
On our way to Monet’s house we stopped by to have a little something to drink and ended up having the best time. We sat in their beautiful garden, got delicious, fresh food and had amazing conversations with the owners. We could really taste the fresh ingredients from the garden! Definitely would recommend to stop by but next time we want to stay overnight!! We will be back;) xx, Emily, Dana, Maryam
One of the top accommodation and dining experiences in my life. Evergreen is a paradise within the paradise that is Normandie. The property is as charming as hosts Suren and Jonathan. Tranquil, deeply tasteful and decorated with gorgeous artwork by the two hosts. The rooms are comfortable, cozy and beautiful and the food is out of this world. My only regret is only staying 2 nights, something which I will fix with a visit later this year. This is the kind of place where you enter as a guest and leave as a friend. Truly special.
In all my life, I have never felt a stronger wish to return somewhere than when I stumbled upon this place. My fiancé and I were biking from Vernon to Giverny when we discovered Evergreen and stepped onto the patio. No review could ever do it justice. It is an experience that must be lived to be truly understood. The food, the atmosphere, the people, the ambiance was incredibale. I do not have a paragon to compare this place to. It was incredible.
