Our Calvin Tour with Dr. Jonathan Moorhead was an incredible walk through not only the history but also the heart of the Protestant Reformation. It was awe-inspiring to stand in the church where John Calvin (Jehan Cauvin) preached with the radiant light coming through stained glass windows, walk the same short walk to where Calvin lived, learn about Calvin’s work with education and refugees, see letters and texts in the International Museum of the Reformation, and visit another museum with a beautiful model of historical Geneva. Dr. Moorhead is a published author on John Calvin who is not only a historical expert but also able to give insight as a pastor himself. We also greatly enjoyed the surprise at the end of the tour in being able to hold an authentic Geneva Bible!

Hands down the best tour of Geneva! Totally different from other tours I’ve done over the years around Europe, and Calvin Tours covers a crucial part of Geneva’s history often ignored by other tour agencies. The 3-hour tour is excellent, and engaging at every step!

Have to agree with the other reviewers. This is an absolutely fantastic tour. Jonathan also did our tour and it was fantastic! He has a wealth of knowledge about this area, the reformation, and the reformers. It is the best tour in Geneva! If you have 3 hours, please do this.

Great tour! Our guide Jonathan was very knowledgeable and engaging. We had kids with us and he made the effort to involve them in the experience as well. Overall very happy and would definitely come back again for the long tour. The 2 hour tour flew by!

I’m on a ten day church history tour in Italy and Switzerland. Yesterday our group went on a Calvin tour led by Fabian. It was the most interesting, well organized and best tour of our trip. Fabian was friendly, knowledgeable and communicated well. Enthusiastically recommend to anyone - he impressed all of our group. Thank you for a wonderful day in Geneva. The use of a slideshow on a tablet and visual aids like a 1600s Bible were above and beyond usual tours.

John Glass was engaging and knowledgeable. The tour covered many facets of Calvin’s legacy including time in the church, a guided tour of the museum (extra entrance fee, but helpful for those that couldn’t read the museum descriptions which were all in French), the area of the city where Calvin lived and worked, and the Reformation wall. We loved having a tour from a local pastor!
