We would especially like to thank Luka V for the incredible service he provided during our stay. From the very beginning, he was extremely kind, attentive, and understanding. He allowed us to do a late check-in without any issues and had thoughtful details that truly made us feel special and welcomed. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and truly understands what excellent customer service means. People like Luka make the whole experience much more memorable. We would definitely stay here again thanks to the outstanding treatment we received. Highly recommended!

Nice little hostel. Cool amenities and vibe. Great if you’re trying to lose weight, as there isn’t any AC and you’ll probably sweat off 2-3 pounds in your sleep. Room was obviously not cleaned before I got here, as shown by the 3 receipt papers found on the floor as soon as I checked into my private room and questionable crumbs on the bed

My stay at JO&JOE Gentilly was, without a doubt, one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. The main issue was the staff. I have rarely encountered employees who were so unfriendly, indifferent, and unprofessional. The reception team often seemed bothered by the mere fact that guests were asking for assistance. On several occasions, they gave short answers without even looking at us, showing a complete lack of interest in helping. The worst incident happened on the day of our check-out. We had left some belongings in one of the hostel’s refrigerators and needed to retrieve them before heading to the airport. The night receptionist refused to help and repeatedly told us to wait for a security guard who was supposedly arriving in 15 minutes. We ended up waiting for around 40 minutes while under pressure because of our flight schedule, and during that entire time, no solution was offered. When it became clear that continuing to wait could make us miss our transportation to the airport, we were forced to give up and leave. What shocked me the most was the complete lack of empathy. Even after the entire situation, I still thanked the receptionist politely before leaving. He simply ignored me and did not respond with a single word. It was an extremely arrogant, rude, and unacceptable attitude, completely incompatible with even the most basic standards of hospitality. Cleanliness was also far below acceptable standards. The shared bathrooms were consistently dirty, had unpleasant odors, and showed obvious signs of poor maintenance and hygiene. The private bathroom attached to our room was no better. The shower drain was clogged, causing water to build up rapidly. To take a shower, we had to repeatedly turn the water on and off to avoid flooding the bathroom. Another major issue was the heat. The air conditioning in the room simply did not work properly. Sleeping in those conditions was extremely uncomfortable. When we reported the problem to reception

This hostel is just 5 minutes away from the nearest train station with many cheap food options located along the way. It is more like a capsule hotel as you get your own mini-room.Everything is well maintained and the best part is that each shower cubicle contains its own sink and mirror so you can dress up or wash up all in one go.A downside is of course that it is harder to cross paths with roommates or meet new people.The boiler in the shared kitchen is heavily calcified but you are able to request hot water from the cafe and there is a water cooler downstairs.

The service from Romane, Luca, and Brandon was truly friendly and welcoming. They were always smiling, cheerful, and very helpful throughout my stay, including the staffs at the bar. You can really feel their hospitality and service-minded attitude. I booked one bed in a 12-bed female dorm for a short one-night stay. I arrived before the 3 PM check-in time and was able to leave my luggage in the hotel lockers, which was very convenient. If you are looking for an affordable place for a short stay, this place is a good option. However, do not expect too much regarding overall cleanliness, as the bathrooms are shared. Please clean up after yourself for the next guest’s comfort. Also, don’t forget to bring your own towel. One small suggestion: the area underneath the beds could use a bit more vacuum cleaning.

Absolutely horrible experience. This hotel seriously needs to improve its hygiene, customer service, and overall standards. The room was dirty from the moment we entered. There was mould on the quilt, visible black stains that the hotel staff clearly did not even bother trying to remove, and even a footprint mark on the pillowcase. It honestly looked like the bedding had not been properly cleaned before our arrival.||To make matters worse, we found a small cockroach inside the room. Even if it was small, this is completely unacceptable in any hotel environment and immediately made us feel uncomfortable and disgusted.||The entire room was extremely dusty and felt suffocating because the ventilation was terrible. We could barely figure out how to use the heating or air conditioning system, and overall the atmosphere in the room was very stuffy and unpleasant. Instead of feeling comfortable, the room felt oppressive and unhygienic.||Another shocking and honestly ridiculous detail was the wallpaper decoration. The hotel had wallpapers showing naked people in inappropriate and disturbing poses, which made the atmosphere even more uncomfortable. Completely unacceptable and very unprofessional for a hotel environment.||What made the experience even worse was the staff’s response. When we asked for clean sheets because the originals were dirty, they simply handed us new sheets and expected us to change the bed ourselves. What kind of hotel service is that? Guests should not have to do housekeeping themselves.||And on top of everything, we were charged €4 for bathroom towels. After paying for a room in these conditions, charging extra for basic towels is honestly unbelievable.||Overall, one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Dirty room, mould, insects, dust everywhere, terrible ventilation, uncomfortable atmosphere, poor customer service, and extra charges for basic necessities. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

I am staying in Jo&Joe Paris Gentilly. Rooms are ok but no air condition and very difficult assuming the high temperature. However staff are super kind, helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Among them, what made me to ignore the room issue, specifically one of the staff, Diogo at front desk. He took it to the next level by creating wonderful customer experience when I really needed a help. He is outstanding, caring, and demonstrated that he cares about guests by going extra miles. Thank you Diogo!!!

Amazing hostel, really kind staff and we got a free upgrade to cabin rooms which were lovely and so private and comfortable beds. Also had food here and it was delicious and good value for money! The only tiny downside was it’s a little bit out of the city and have to get trains everywhere from there but the station was a 5 minute walk away. Overall really great experience!
