This hotel has free public parking right on the avenue in front, making it incredibly convenient: just cross the street and you're there. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the city center, making it easy to reach all the attractions, especially the beautiful basilicas and abbeys. The hotel rooms are very clean, and our bathroom was practically new. The nighttime silence is absolute, ensuring excellent sleep quality. The breakfast is generous and full of handmade specialties, such as cakes and croissants, as well as savory options with excellent cheeses. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, making our experience truly excellent.

This is not a boutique hotel. That word should be removed from the description. It’s an old building but most rooms are in a modern concrete extension out back. It’s more like an Ibis than anything else. Having said that we were welcomed superbly by a young man at the reception who made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was disappointing. There was no coffee machine “because we have 50 guests staying” (no boutique hotel has 50 guests), just some “jus de chaussette” filter coffee. Very disappointing!

Great location and boutique style hotel, perfect as base to experience small French villages. Close to old town (walking distance) and free parking across the street.

A nice hotel, we took the large room which was great. Very clean. New shower. Located just at the border of the old city but walkable distance. A large public parking lot just across the hotel. Nice breakfast. Easy to arrive to town and leave no traffic

I have stayed at this hotel several times before. Madame Sylvie is always friendly and helpful. Antonin who was at reception, checked me in very quickly, and I had a few good chats with him during my 4 day stay. Weather was changeable, not like the usual summer in Auxerre, but when possible, great to sit in the garden with a coffee or glass of something. My room was adequate, with a good walk-in shower. A chair at the desk area, but no other chair provided. I did ask Antonin who offered another chair from the breakfast room, but that was also an upright chair, not one for reading and relaxing in. Breakfast was also adequate, nothing special, and sometimes the scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit or yoghurt seemed to take a long time to be replaced or on one morning, not replaced at all! The price for breakfast is definitely too high. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. You can ask at reception and they will happily bring you a coffee at a cost of 3 euros! Free bottles of water available at reception. I have friends in Auxerre, and this hotel provided a good base from where I could easily walk to their home. Hope to visit again.

Our recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences we’ve had in all our years of travel. We booked a family room with two large beds well in advance, expecting it to comfortably accommodate our group. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the hotel had given us a much smaller room with a children's bed, which did not match what we had paid for. When we brought this to their attention, we were informed that they had reassigned our reserved family room to make space for a larger group who had booked after us. While they acknowledged the mistake, they claimed no other rooms were available and offered no apology, no compensation, and no real willingness to make the situation right.|The next day, they offered us a different room, but when we inquired in the morning, the staff’s response was shockingly rude. One staff member dismissively remarked, “You are with three individuals, so what is the problem?” We reiterated that the issue was not receiving the room we had paid for, but once again, there was no apology or acknowledgment of fault. We asked before leaving the hotel what steps we had to take in order to have the room we paid for and they said we could come back later in the afternoon to change rooms. No further steps were required at the time, according to the staff. |Later that day, while we were out at the Chablis marathon, the hotel called, demanding that we vacate our current room by 11u. if we wanted the new room — an unreasonable request given our marathon schedule. When we explained this, the staff simply said, “Okay, then no new room for you.” Upon returning to the hotel around 14u, we checked again but were told it was “too late” and that we’d lost our chance to switch rooms.|Throughout our stay, the hotel’s approach was consistently disrespectful and unprofessional. Not only were we denied the room we paid for, but we were also met with impolite and dismissive responses from multiple staff members
