We had an excellent stay here. Fantastic bedroom and bathroom, beautifully decorated - as is the whole house. Very warm and helpful hosts. Merci beaucoup !
Just returned from 4 days at Le Petit Chateau. This is one of the most charming hotels I ve stayed at, furnished beautifully and adorned with Little treasures/ objet d'art. Within easy access to Puy du Fou whilst also being able to explore lovely little towns such as Clisson. Breakfast was laid out on a large dining table, silver service and was an experience in itself. The hosts were so thoughtful, which really made the trip so much nicer. This was well worth the visit. I wish the owners well and hope that they continue to be successful with Petit Chateau
We spent 4 nights in this B&B together with friends and loved everything about it! The house is beautiful, as well as the garden and pool area which is great to relax. Our rooms (we were a group of 4 people) were next to one another and had a shared bathroom/toilet - which was fine for us, there are also rooms with en suite bathrooms. The rooms are individually decorated according to a theme - we had the "Asian" room for example. You have to like a little opulence as far as decorations go, but we really liked it and it made you feel quite at home. The beds were comfy and we had free water, little chocolates and fruit in our rooms, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious.||The hosts were lovely and really made their guests feel welcome - thanks again for that and we would definitely stay there again!||Do note that the owners have quite a few cute cats as pets that roam the house and gardens. They are not allowed in the rooms though and everything was spotlessly clean.
We stayed here for 2 nights and found it to be prefect for us. Bertrand and Jean-Pierre were great hosts and couldn't do enough. Jean Pierre is the chef and dinner on our first night was well presented and tasted great, nice wine and good company with other guests. Used the pool both days, and the gardens are great for relaxing. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
Have just returned from 3 days at Le Petit Chateau as we had chosen Tiffauges to visit nearby family. Wonderful stay and table d'hote. The owners provided us with a 5-6 course dinner with aperitif and wine to which we invited local family and friends. They also allowed us to dine on a Sunday evening at our special request and catered throughout for vegetarians and non-meat eaters. We only met 4 of the 7 cats! The pool area and garden look beautiful and we would like to take advantage on our return. Our stay was in La Pompadour room - it has a rather compact shower room but the room itself is large and very impressive with an enormous bed.
We booked the 2 rooms at the top of the house for a 4 night stay and found it delightful. The house is full of objects (may be alarming for families with small children!) and character. Breakfast was fresh pastries and bread, presentation was delightful. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our children were just old enough to be able to cope with locking themselves into their next-door room at night and the stairs down to our private bathroom.
I recently visited with family. Bertrand and Jeann Pierre offered the warmest of welcomes and catered for all our needs. The hotel is sumptiously decorated and very comfortable. Great base for exploring Vendee and Puy du Foy. Tiffauges itself is a lovely little town with plenty to offer the visitor. I can't recommend Le Petit Chateau enough and am truly glad that I chose to book this hotel over others in the locality.
We chose Le Petit Chateau for an overnight stop on the way back up country. We were welcomed into a beautiful, comfortable, opulent home, whose ambience and service made us feel like royalty! They moved their car out of the garage so we could park our motorcycles out of the rain. The building and its contents are full of light and colour, beautiful objets, art, French history. Fabulous. The food was amazing, cooked by a wonderfully passionate chef, served by gracious and friendly hosts. I told them I was going to move in and marry the chef! It was a shame it was raining as there was a lovely big pool and garden to explore at the back of the house. Fingers-crossed for next time.
