The wine tasting was very good! So much information and room for questions. Very interesting. We tasted 6 wines with pairing!
They are very welcoming to guest. We arrived at the end of the day and they accommodated our visit. The guide and other staff were very informative and knowledgeable. The cave cellars are interesting and wines are excellent.
Such a great wine tasting experience. The caves are really cool to be in, the educational session was so informative, especially as someone who does not know much about French wine. Its nostalgic to be in and knowing the caves once served as the royal cellars to the king. The tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The wines were amazing and I highly recommend getting the charcuterie board, with its great variety of cheese and meats, so much to taste. Highly recommend for anyone staying at Amboise or Loire Valley. Its a must!
This is a top-notch stop! We stopped for a glass of wine and apertivo and latched on to a wine tasting. It was really informative and fun; our guide was amazing! So the tasting is great, but the patio - food and wine is also great.
My wife and I paid a little bit extra for the private tour of the cellar and it was 100% worth it. Our guide/sommelier Francois was absolutely delightful! He taught us so much about the different wines from particular appellations and vineyards in Amboise. All staff were super polite, respectful, and bilingual (the 4 we dealt with were). I would highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Amboise. As travelers from the US, we were given the option to ship wines from Caves Ambacia back to our home. Highlight of our trip to Amboise!
Informative wine tour with delicious wines and pairings. Also really good place to be when it’s 35 degrees outside! We had lunch after the tour and it was all excellent, including the bottle of champagne 🥰
American Review 🇺🇲 - Whoever didn't give this place 5 stars is just plain wrong. The tour was AMAZING. The fact that the owner took time out of his day to personally do the first part of the tour made the experience feel very personable. He truly believes wine making is an art and strives to do it as naturally as possible. I was amazed at how they grow and treat their wines. The wine tasting at the end of the tour was beyond professional as well. It went a little over my head, but the gentleman performing the tasting answered all questions with kindness and patience. Overall, I felt very fancy and really enjoyed the experience. I didn't get to try the bistro, but if I ever end up in the area again, I will! Definitely sign up for the tour! You won't regret it!
This is definitely one of the best tours especially in the amount of knowledge/information we were given. The sommelier Thomas talked us through how he can judge a wine for a blind tasting, and I learned things I have never heard about before (even from being in tours in Napa, Mendoza, Yarra valley in Australia, Franschhoek in South Africa, and Portugal!). Be ready to learn a lot! They also had 16 tubes set up for u to smell and practice guessing or learning scents like apple, pear, leather, flowers, almond, etc to hell you recognize them in wines. Small but delicious cheese and meat pairing to help you taste the wine, and you cna buy them after too. Paul was also very friendly and open to questions. Definitely definitely recommend. We also had lunch upstairs after which was also great. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!
