I visited Mairie de Stains (6 Av. Paul Vaillant Couturier, 93240 Stains) with my daughter regarding a housing purchase. Buying a home at an older age means investing all of one’s lifetime savings, so naturally we had questions and concerns about urban planning and property matters. Unfortunately, I was surprised and disappointed by the behavior of some staff members. I do not speak French, so I brought my eldest daughter to help translate. Instead of being understanding, the way she was spoken to felt dismissive and disrespectful. It was painful, especially when you are simply trying to understand important legal information. Public service employees should show respect and patience, especially toward residents who may not speak the language fluently. Providing guidance with professionalism and empathy is essential. That said, the surrounding environment is pleasant. Transportation is convenient, and the bus service is good.
