CHALET LES SOLIETTES

Our stay at Les 3 Chalets in Courchevel ended with a very serious, dangerous, and traumatic incident, and we feel it is important to warn other guests. In the last days before our departure, our chalet was robbed. Jewelry, limited edition watches, designer bags, a large amount of cash, and personal documents, including a passport, were stolen. We immediately contacted the police and filed a report, but so far the investigation has not brought any results. The theft of documents caused serious additional problems and expenses. Because of the missing passport, part of our family could not leave on time. The situation was even worse because everything happened over the weekend. We had to urgently contact many people and services to obtain temporary documents and be able to leave the country. This caused extreme stress and significant financial losses that could have been avoided with basic security measures. It is especially important to note that the robbery happened while we were inside the chalet. The chalet has three floors. We were having dinner on the second floor, while the theft was happening on the first floor at the same time. If any family member had gone downstairs and met the burglars, the consequences could have been very serious. Our lives were at real risk. We were staying with a large family, including children, which makes the situation even more alarming. Even without physical harm, the psychological impact on the children has been severe. After returning home, they are afraid to stay alone in a room, feel constant stress, and do not feel safe. These effects do not disappear easily. The most painful question is: who is responsible? Unfortunately, the chalet manager, Marie-Pierre, did not show any attention to this issue. After the incident, we received no apology, no words of sympathy, and no sense of responsibility for guest safety, despite the scale of what happened and the fact that lives — including children’s lives — were at risk.
