TECHNO FERMETURE

Once a year, Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines transform into one of the largest fossil and mineral shows. iI worth the travel and time to see and buy all around the world, mineral, rarities.

Apart from considerations regarding organization (that could always improve, but is acceptable) my main concern is that ten years ago this event could take place outdoors, but nowadays the unbearable heat is turning even dangerous. Especially this year, with record temperatures, it is outrageous that there's not one single place in the whole show with air conditioning to escape the burning sun and heat, and just a few places where you can find shade (like Jules Simon park, always packed with people trying to cool down in order not to have a heat stroke). This show needs to take place earlier in June or May, or be moved to a proper venue. This is a conversation that needs to be had, because it's only getting worse each year, for visitors, exhibitors, and everyone involved.

We attend this mineral fair every year in June. It's the closest I get to a holiday. Great exhibitors, fantastic products, excellent location. Can't wait until next year.
