So the rooms had leftover wrappers like from gum and that kind of stuff and the bathroom hade mold very dirty you can tell the service was nice but not really English appropriate the location is great if you are going for the beach
France is renowned for its poor customer service. This is definitely improving in some commercial areas, but it is certainly not the case in Hotel Regina. ||||After a long and difficult journey, we arrived at the hotel on a bank holiday Saturday evening. We had reserved the room through a well-known online booking agency, where it stated that it wasn’t necessary to reserve a place in their car park. The secure car park had been the only reason we had chosen the hotel. ||||When at check-in we showed the man, who we presumed was the manager, our booking confirmation which clearly stated that car parking was available; we were told that there was no room in the car park. After expressing our disappointment, we said that perhaps he should change the wording on the online booking agency page. He then started to argue with us that it wasn’t possible to change the wording, and virtually dismissed our concerns and suggestions. It started our visit really badly; the manner the man had dealt with the problem was very poor. His idea of customer service definitely left a lot to be desired.||||We had to struggle with our suitcases up to our room on the first floor. The room was not very satisfactory. The wall and ceiling paint was peeling in places. It was also very badly planned. It had too much furniture in it. It was virtually impossible to get out of one side of the bed because of an arm chair and table. We had to remove these to the other side of the room to give access to one side of the double bed. ||||The shower room had been refurbished, but the shower door was already broken. ||||The room was very warm and there was no air conditioning. If you opened the windows, one could hear the noise from the traffic and the people walking past. The corridors of the hotel looked tired and dated.||||On our way to the room we had passed two dogs, which were obviously staying with their owners in the hotel rooms. We feel very strongly that this should not be permitted
A building with a glorious past turned into a naff hotel. Reception staff are behind a glass screen - from the COVID era- but some customers can become aggressive... unhelpful receptionists and you need to purchase a ticket to the swimming pool too. It comes at €36 and you get the jacuzzi and the hamman even if you don't want it. Carpeted (dirty) everywhere. Very small rooms with huge furniture, no AC but a fan. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor, cheap bathroom fittings all-around and hips of attitude from reception staff. Needless to say that we didn't use the restaurant. There's a beautiful place nearby called Cote Sable, a great bunch, food and atmosphere.
It's nice. The rooms are a bit small but it was clean. The pool table is 2€ a game which is a bit steep. The breakfast is very continental, no bacon, sausage or beans. The people were nice and the hotel is in a good location
The hotel has been the worst stay ever. Although the room was nice not very clean but best part of the stay. When we got here we was given a parking space that was impossible to get into so had to park on the road side. Although breakfast was only €9 each but the same for children it had nothing other then bread and dry ham. Coffee was not drinkable. Breakfast is worse i have had in any hotel. Also last night my children were told that they could use the pool between 10 and 12 for free so two happy children waking up to make sure they could go then to be told it would be €35. Hotel seams to be just after money for everything. Cost of stay good but with all the extras is not worth it please be very careful about staying here and if you do add up all the extras.
Warm and welcoming staff, nicely decorated room and clean bathroom with lots of towels. Breakfast wasn't as intercontinental as I expected and a bit pricey for what it was. Dinner options are great and very affordable. The room wasn't sound proof, which is unfortunate.
It is by no means perfect to all at all times. We asked for a first floor room overlooking the car park. It was spacious, clean and quiet with new furniture and a large comfortable bed. The bathroom used to be a spacious walk in wet room with a beam effect ceiling that obscured a vast cavern of darkness and pipes and possibly anything else grim. That has all gone with a new fully tiled shower room. Very nice. The main corridors have been redecorated ( but probably not everywhere - it continues to be a work in progress). You can see how they have nearly finished repainting the outside in the courtyard. The restaurant menu is slightly quirkily French - but that's where you are. It is very good value for money, and you can book direct.
The hotel itself is set in a nice building. Our superior room was tired and the bed was so uncomfortable that I ended up not sleeping most of the night .The room smell of dump so badly that we needed to wash all of our clothes back home including bags .The hotel charge £35 for acess the swimming pool that was overcrowded ,steam room broken and changing facility filthy with just one toilet. The staff was very helpful and friendly though.
