Delicious traditional nicois dishes in a great location! Artichoke stew was a stunner - we were looking for something with a little less oil after overeating soccas for lunch. For mains we had the gnocchi with beef stew (AMAZING) and the beef ravioli with beef stew sauce (also very good!). For dessert we had the creme brûlée which had orange blossom infused. I would personally prefer the original/ unflavoured and the creme brûlée a little softer but it was still good. The chocolate hazelnut lava cake on the other hand was warm and gooey, crispy on the outside, not too sweet. Ice cream that came with it could’ve been more rich/ premium but was still fine. Service was adequate - the pace was okay, not fast or rushed, not too slow either. The staff were friendly and gave a good wine suggestion in English. They could have a few more smiles though and it would have been nice if they were open even earlier although 7:30pm isn’t too bad! Prices were great for the meal by the way. Couldn’t get better for a memorable meal in Nice.
A solid restaurant. The food and service is decent, so is the atmosphere. Daube is quite enjoyable. Tiramisu speculoos was too sweet for our taste.
After walking through some alleys we found this restaurant. Very good service. The eggplant gratin was great!
Very nice local cuisine served in the lively Old Town. The service, food, drinks - everything is top notch, highly recommended!
This is a truly excellent restaurant serving local food. The service was perfect, excellent waiting staff, and the food is delicious. Recommend the artichoke and sausage stew, a memorable dish that I want to cook myself. The staff were truly friendly, accommodating and helpful. Thank you, a highlight of Old Nice. A must visit. Has character too, check out the signs on the bathroom doors!
First of all you cant get only one dish if there are two persons, than you cant get tap water with ice because apparently they are short on ice so only if you get bottled flask you can get cold water. Waited for food a bit long for my taste. The dishes werent really of good taste and I would say it was canteen quality.
Joined the queue outside just before 19:30 and were swiftly seated. The service was slow but the super friendly even with limited English. Beef stew with mushroom and gnocchi was fantastic but the deserts here an absolute disappointment.
After we were seated, we had to wait for around 15 min for the order to be taken. the manager (we assume that she was the manager) made the occupancy of the seats in the patio asymmetrically, and when we asked her to take our order, she said she is not responsible for this half of patio, which was a little bit not serious, because there was only one waiter who was on this half. We gave up the desserts because the time someone would take our next order was far too long. The ravioli with beef and Gorgonzola was really nice, but the Zucchini casserole was below expectations. Could be much better.
