Amazing place to eat and stay and have a great time in general. Very cozy and special thanks to the staff who were so empathetic and thoughtful that they shipped me the bag, I forgot, to a different country🤯 and even didn't want anything in return. I will definitely have only good memories of this place. Totally recommend 👍

Great place and food . Helpful and friendly staff

They're closed on the Sunday we arrived but we had a booking. The gent from the restaurant across the road came over and called someone who answered straight away, gave us a pin number to get in and a room number to go to. Room was nice and clean, and all set for us. We literally slept and left so hard to say much more but the bar was busy for breakfast and if you don't fancy that there are plenty of places to walk to in Autun.

Always use Logis hotels for the quality they provide. This one maintains the very high standards of the chain.||||Lovely comfortable room at the back of the hotel so very quiet. Suspect rooms at front may be noisy because of road and railway.||||Had the evening meal which was superb and very reasonably priced. Good regional foods and wine. Had coq au vin and the chicken had been in the wine a long time. Delicious.||||Breakfast was normal French sort of fare but perfectly adequate.||||The added bonus is the delightful countryside you drive through to get to and from the hotel.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the last few years big and small. This hotel is good for one night. The positives: friendly and accommodating staff, clean room, good air conditioning, good WiFi, good water pressure in sink and shower, secure bicycle storage, across the street from train station, quiet room with windows closed despite the heavy traffic out front, comfortable but very small bed, decent but limited breakfast buffet. The negatives: room is very small, not many choices for restaurants to walk too, away from historic area with more restaurant choices. Bottom line: a good nights sleep at a fair price. Remember to check in before 3:00 pm. Reception is not 24/7.

Can’t quibble with these accommodations. The room was modern and fine and everything worked. Staff showed flexibility on dinner choices but don’t speak a lot of English. Breakfast nothing special, but there are good boulangeries in Autun.

Commerce is a basic, unpretentious hotel with clean and comfortable rooms and accommodating staff. The real fun is the restaurant, which we continue to enjoy even after we bought a home nearby and no longer need the hotel. The prices are ridiculously low for the quality, especially the three-course plat du jour offerings for 15€ or so. No fancy plating here, and no pretense of offering anything other than classic Burgundian and regional dishes. The "region" is the Morvan forest, which offers up everything from honeys and preserves, to country hams, to tiny wild asparagus, to great cheeses (especially chevre) to mushrooms of every stripe, from cepes (porcini) to chanterelles (girolles). A perfect place to try escargots, oeufs meurette, boeuf bourguignon and other classic local dishes. The wine list offers only reasonably priced local wines, which is perfect for the food being offered. The mural-sized backlit blowup of an old postcard of Autun's main square filled with free-range cows is a hoot, and may be disconcerting at first, but ultimately, there is something very comforting about cows, both in the restaurant and everywhere in the surrounding countryside. This is Charolais beef country, and it is sometimes hard to jibe one's affection for cows with the ever-present beef on the local menus, but one tries!

The rooms are clean and the location is decent (next to the train station). The hotel has a large breakfast area. Only negative was the hotel being a bit far from the historical center of town. Try to book the "appart hotel" in the summer months if you want access to a small garden for a couple/family picnic
