We chose the set 3 course menu at €32/person. This included around 5-6 choices per course. The duck breast was magnificent in the most tasty sauce (how do they do it). The fish soup was also delicious, not to mention the desserts. Just the best value for money together with very generous serves. Thanks to Laura who met us at the outside menu and explained each dish in detail. Also a huge thanks to Yohan our waiter who just went above and beyond with his service. He was lots of fun and made our night one to remember. Thanks heaps Yohan - well done, you are a natural. Recommended, it’s a great meal. Also the menu was in French and English. It made it so much easier for us 😀.
Our visit to Restaurant La Ramade, beautifully situated by the harbor in Le Lavandou, was nothing short of exceptional. The restaurant boasts a lovely view of the promenade and the bustling harbor, providing a picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable meal. The culinary experience at La Ramade was truly remarkable. The food was, without a doubt, the best we’ve had during our stay in Le Lavandou. Each dish was a delightful blend of flavors, beautifully presented and expertly prepared. The portions were generous and full of taste, ensuring that we left completely satisfied. One of the most impressive aspects was the value for money. The quality and quantity of the food offered at such reasonable prices is commendable. This combination of excellent cuisine and fair pricing makes La Ramade a standout choice. In conclusion, La Ramade is a must-visit when in Le Lavandou. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure by the sea. We will be back!
The food was really good, and the place was busy, which is always a good sign. Unfortunately, one member of staff completely ruined the experience. He acts as if he owns the place, rushing between tables like a model on a catwalk, but without any real efficiency or courtesy. His arrogant and patronising attitude made several tables, including ours, very uncomfortable. Such a shame, because the food deserves better service. We still have six more days here, but we won’t be coming back, even if it means living on croissants for the rest of our stay .
Don't be fooled by belonging. The place has a really nice location and the food itself was actually good, but the service completely ruined the experience. The waiters were rude, and we ended up waiting way too long for everything. On top of that, the cutlery and glasses we got were dirty, so we had to ask for replacements for almost everything. Honestly, it’s a shame because the food was pleasant, but with service like that, I wouldn’t go back.
I have travelled the world and have eaten mussels in many places. Those at La Ramade are - by far(!) - the best! As a matter of fact, even so all of their dishes are truly excellent, I eat their "Les Moules Farcies dans leurs coquilles au beurre de pastis" (and I dont like Pastis!) for a starter and a main course! There is a reason why La Ramada often enough is the only Restaurant on the "Promenade" that is fully booked! If you are in Le Lavandou you really should not miss Le Ramade and(!) their Mussels! You will thank me! Promise! :-)
Nice location by the sea but the food is so so. I got a cold Tarte Tatin from the fridge which is usually served warmed.
By far the worst dining experience we had on our vacation this year. We ended leaving before dessert but was still charged for the full 3 course menu. The tuna steak was over cooked and the mussels were not good. The 2 people in our group who did not order seafood were ok with their choices.
Absolutely to avoid. We stayed in Le Lavandou for 1 night, on monday. Several restaurants were closed, so we had few choices. Also we were a large group, so at last we entered this restaurant. First of all, I have to say if you work in the tourism business, you must have an acceptable level of English knowledge. There’s no English menu, waiters know only a few words. We had to use Google Translate for understanding the menu, but with italic fonts was very hard. At last we chose tomatoes and mozzarella for the children. Mozzarella was YELLOW (being in France is not a valid excuse. You stay 2 hours from Italy ) and tomato was completely covered by garlic sauce that children don't appreciate at all. Adults weren’t more lucky. Dishes quite cold and far from good. The bill was low as the quality.
