LE PRE GEORGES

We had a two night stay at the Hotel Le Pre Carre starting Sunday 31st May 2026 and were very impressed. The room was well appointed, very clean and the aircon was efficient and silent, which makes a pleasant change. The bed was very comfortable and the nights were quiet, except for my snoring, sorry wife. Would definitely stop again, particularly as Annecy is such a beautiful place. The hotel was in easy walking distance to the lake, the old town and the train station.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Room was a decent size and modern, bathroom and toilet were modern and clean, (I'll never get used to them not being the same room mind you).|Breakfast was basic, but enough.|You have to pre-reserve a parking space in the garage if you need it. We had a Volkswagen Golf and found it tight to get in, it fitted, but I was very wary driving in and out of the entrance.|Which leads me to the next issue! Google maps doesn't direct you to the garage, it takes you to the nearest street and directs you to walk, the street is only accessible from the west direction due to a bus lane coming in the east direction (I really think the hotel should advise anyone using the garage of this so they know in advance). You have to come in from the direction of the Train Station (Map attached).

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were fortunate to be upgraded to a newly remodelled suite, which was great. While the hotel itself is a bit older, the room didn’t reflect that and was very enjoyable. The hotel’s location is excellent — very central and within walking distance of everything. Parking is convenient, though larger vehicles may find the space a bit tight. The staff were friendly, particularly the gentleman at reception. The main downside for us was breakfast. For the price, we felt the options were quite limited. There were no hot egg dishes aside from the “poach your own” style, and vegetable-based milk options were only served cold, with no one readily available to help heat them. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-located hotel, with great service, but breakfast could be improved to match the rest of the experience.

Excellent reception staff, very clean and modern rooms, good breakfast, basic but good to get the day started. Great location, rooms were quiet, even though hotel is on a busy'ish street. Basement car park good.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel is close to the city center. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again.

This is my favorite hotel. The breakfast is simple, but everything is delicious. The location is close to Lake Annecy, and there are many shops around.

We were so happy with this hotel! It was a 5-10 minute flat walk from the train station. It is very modern, clean, quiet and luxurious with a friendly staff. Our room was very large by European standards. Wonderful Occidental products in the bath. This hotel is also one block from Rue Carnot that takes you to the many restaurants, bars and shops on your way to the Vieille Ville. We were lucky enough to be there on a Tuesday morning to enjoy the city market!

This hotel is sensible - everything set up in the room and breakfast room made sense for an excellent stay. Bed was very comfortable, towel rails in the bathroom were heated, towels provided were excellent quality. Functional air conditioning worked well in the room. Breakfast was generous and everything freshly prepared. A great value hotel for price paid, and location was perfect - to the Old Town, train station and the beautiful lake. Lovely staff at reception.
