Amazing hotel! The service was so lovely, the front desk people were so kind. We got upgraded to the larger room with a balcony which was a WONDERFUL surprise. The room is clean, simple, and super comfortable/spacious. It has everything you need: a closet with lit full-length mirror, MINI FRIDGE, coffee machine, tea kettle+tea, hair dryer, and they brought us an iron and ironing board. Plus it was hot outside and the room had powerful AC✨🤌🏻 I wish we stayed longer than one night. The spa session was nice, however there was another couple at the same time slot which made it a tad awkward going between the pool and sauna (steam room was closed) because the sauna is quite small. Either way, it was nice to end the day with it after walking around the chateau. I like the downstairs bar area a lot. Super chill and comfy, plenty of places to sit. There were even board games! Would 100% recommend. Probably the best hotel in town.

Avoid this "4-star" hotel—is a disaster. Don't let the nice interior fool you; it’s a facade for a complete lack of professionalism and basic management. We stayed here recently and it was one frustration after another. 1. Total Lack of Communication & Competence: We arrived to find the bar closed for an event. We weren’t notified in advance, and the staff couldn't even tell us when the restaurant closes- when we looked for after dinner alternative as a town is very small and not many places to go out. Later on we asked again via room service we got informed that we can order cocktail to the room which was fail after our order was taken we got to know this option also not possible. Then we tried to order a bottle to the room (which the QR code and staff confirmed was possible), we waited 20 minutes in silence. When we went downstairs to check, It was told the order was cancelled because a 4-star hotel didn't have a wine opener. To make matters worse, the receptionist was "too busy" to even call and let us know because he needed serve other people with champagne for more than 20+minutes at the same bar we got to know is closed at that time … We left very confused and frustrated to another place close by and questioning how come they have no wine opener and for that reason can serve a bottle. 2. Poor Room Quality: For the price we paid, the room was a massive letdown, better for this price stay at real 4 stars hotel. Maintenance: The door handle was broken and shower as well not working properly. Bathroom: No rain shower (as expected) and they were stingy with basic hygiene products. No soup filled etc. No iron board No mini bar in a room The rooms are tiny Basically you wont get anything you are looking there. Also, the staff asked us how was our stay after huge break and breathe out we managed to say okay with sarcasm and unhappy voice, and they even didn’t care to understand and ask why just awkwardly laughed. We were actually planning to book this hotel fo

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Napoleon. The location gave us perfect access to all we wanted to do. Our room was comfortable and clean. The on-site bar & restaurant were lovely. When we return to Fontainebleau, there is no place else we want to stay!

My experience is as a non-guest spa user. My advice if you are considering coming solely to use the spa is to consider other options. It’s a good spa, but also starting to slightly show a lack of regular maintenance. The steam room was broken the first time we went, and the second time the shower at the poolside was partially broken and badly lime-scaled. Also, the changing area is ridiculous - it’s so small that they only allow one guest or couple to use it at a time. This leads to queues of guests waiting for up to 20 minutes each to change, after they’ve left the pool. If I really wanted a sauna/relax, I might still go there - it’s certainly still a nice place to be. But for the same money there are almost certainly better options.

I LOVED this hotel. The discreet and friendly welcome, the proximity of the hotel to the local us stop, the charming town and the gardens surrounding Fountainblue chateau, the ease with which they checked us in, stored our bags, booked us the sole use of the spa and the clean, comfortable room - all topped off with the most delicious choice of breakfast. We stayed an hour over breakfast because it was so relaxing. Highly recommend bookingyourhourat the spa for the pool experience, they also provide afternoon petit fours and there is always a warm welcome at reception. Perfect stay, we really needed it after a hectic stay in Paris. This is a wonderful place to unwind. Lucile, Melina and all the staff were fantastic. I'd live here if I could! 👍

Great location, very supportive reception desk, great atmosphere at the bar. The SPA is less impressive.

We liked everything. The spa facilities were just fantastic after a long day walking. Being able to go for a private swim with no other guests allowed in your booked slot was so relaxing. The sauna and hammam were nice but the pool was really long and narrow. The breakfast was really good - lots of options with pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats, bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, pancakes as well as tea options and coffee. The location was absolutely brilliant with the bus from the train station dropping us off virtually outside the hotel and it was a walk across the road to enter the Fontainebleau grounds, starting in the Gardens of Diana. The staff were lovely as well, especially Lucile who gave us a very friendly welcome and smile every time we walked back into the hotel. The only downside was that we couldn't seem to adjust the air conditioning but it was all perfect, really.
