Wonderful camping! We chose a wooden cabin, and it’s perfect! It has everything you need inside, comfortable beds, and a fireplace - so perfect for rainy evenings. And the location by the river in the middle of the mountains is absolutely stunning.
I like Huttopia sites. Unfortunately La Claree has a number of faults.||The Muzak at the bar is loud and too close to accommodation.||The roads are unsafe! High speed vehicles, cyclists and Huttopia buggies.||There are FAR too few clothes washing facilities. 2 machines per 50 pitches I reckon.||The location is great. UT more investment in facilities is needed, they are adding cabins but not facilities to match. Some enforcement of speed limit in the camp is essential and they badly need to increase the washing machine capacity.
Not the best Huttopia, the location is great and staff very friendly but the campsite equipment is aging and undersized, not enough toilets and showers and long queues. The shower temperature is irregular, I had cold shower everyday, other seems to have been more lucky than me. There no hot water for dishwashing, which makes the dish cleaning quite a painful experience. The water in pool was very blurry and didn’t felt clean. There not enough washing machine for the site, it took me three days to find an available spot. The service at the bar and restaurant seems very disorganised and orders where mixed up. All together not great value for money.
Beautiful setting, so peaceful and lovely to have the river so close (we had 2 swims, it’s quite cold though!). Everything we needed was provided by renting the bonaventure tent, we didn’t need to bring anything but linen! Facilities were very clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked great and quiet while we were there mid-June. We’ll definitely come back! You have to take a drive up the valley, it’s just so beautiful!
The campsite facilities were filthy and unhygienic, there was no hot water for washing up and the toilets were not cleaned satisfactorily. Campsite users were using communal dishwashing areas for personal washing and ablutions given the lack of hot water.||The showers were equally overused and dirty. Children were using the facilties unsupervised and there was a lack of signage.||I asked the campsite manager for a refund but this was refused.||The manager admitted that the cleaning regime and number of toilets are insufficient for the number of occupants on the site. The campsite manager said the campsite management has no control over the behaviour of campers but would not acknowledge that this is unacceptable to me and my wife. We did not pay for that type of experience.||We were refused a refund on the basis that "it is not company policy to refund ". ||Clearly Huttopia cares more about profit than customer satisfaction. Avoid this company and their campsites at all costs
Nice setting, but the facilities are inadequate for the number of guests. Not enough bathrooms, the queues at the bar (to pick up bread or to get a drink, not to mention pizza, which you have to reserve hours in advance) are superlong. The houses for rent look very nice, as do the riverside tent sites - but we stayed on a site on a crossroads (maybe we were unlucky) which didn't feel chilled out at all. There is room for improvement!
This type of chalets are great for family experience. Location is lovely. It is quiet and at the same time close from ski resort ( by car or by bus : 15min)
A lovely campsite in a beautiful setting. We had a great time here, especially hiking in the La Claree valley nearby, with waterfall pools to swim in and amazing views. The campsite pool is heated so it's nice even when the weather is bad. The brst pitches are near the part of the river that is away from the road, but they're all pretty good.
