The place is considered new and well constructed. However, we are not too impressed with the wine tour they have provided. We were arriving quite early and was offered a free wine tasting and that was excellent. However, we had extra time and decided to went for a wine tour costing 10 euros per person (30 in total) and all the guy did was just walked us to a small chapel within the property ( no wineyard no fermenting process, no nothing just BS story about how the chateau was taken over by generations). It left us bad impression at the checkin and we were hoping the hotel is more considerable.

My family of four visited the Chateau for a night on 3 Dec 2025. We were warmly greeted by the concierge and reception staffs. The building has a rich history to it and was surrounded by beautiful nature. Took the horse carriage ride around the premises to enjoy the views. We had the family room and it was tastefully designed. A wonderful place to relax.

We've absolutely loved our stay. The Chateau is incredibly cozy and a great place to visit, even in rainy February. It was a special occasion for us and the staff made the day unforgettable. The restaurant was amazing too, we had a great dinner there. Couldn't recommend it more!

A truly memorable stay Our stay at the château was nothing short of wonderful. From the very first moment, there was a sense of calm, elegance, and genuine care that stayed with us throughout our visit. The room was beautifully appointed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable — the kind of comfort that allows you to truly rest and disconnect. Breakfast was delightful, generous, and thoughtfully prepared, while dinner at the restaurant was an absolute highlight: refined, delicious, and clearly made with love and attention to detail. Every dish felt both elegant and heartfelt. The property itself is stunning — peaceful, secluded, and far from the noise of everyday life. Even in January, despite the winter weather, it was a joy to walk around the estate, admire the vineyards, and immerse ourselves in the landscape. We were especially fascinated to learn more about grapevine cultivation and the innovative frequency-based methods used to protect the vines from pests — truly forward-thinking and inspiring. The staff deserve special praise: warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable, making us feel at home from start to finish. The included wine tasting was another unforgettable experience — tasting the same wine across different vintages and discovering how profoundly time can shape its character. It was a beautiful reminder that winemaking is, indeed, a true art. This is a place of beauty, knowledge, and soul. We can only imagine how breathtaking it must be in summer — and we very much hope to return.

Our stay at Château Léognan was absolutely unforgettable and easily one of the most beautiful experiences we have had in France. From the moment we arrived, the property felt like something out of a dream. The grounds are stunning, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking vineyards that create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and luxury. Every detail of the château is elegant, charming, and full of character while still feeling warm and welcoming. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, was the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and appreciated. From the restaurant team to the front desk staff, the level of hospitality was genuine, professional, and heartfelt. You can truly tell that everyone takes pride in creating a memorable experience for guests. A very special thank you goes to Nolwenn, who was absolutely perfect throughout our stay. Her kindness, professionalism, attention to detail, and warm personality made such a huge impression on us. She made us feel welcomed from the very beginning and was always willing to help with anything we needed. Exceptional service like hers is rare and deserves to be recognized. She truly elevated the entire experience and made our stay even more memorable. The restaurant was also phenomenal. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Every meal felt like a true culinary experience paired perfectly with the incredible wines from the region. Dining at the château while overlooking the vineyards created unforgettable moments for our family. If you are looking for a peaceful luxury escape in the heart of wine country, Château Léognan is a place I highly recommend. Beautiful property, amazing food, outstanding service, and a staff that truly cares about their guests. We cannot wait to come back again.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful 24 hours at Chàteau léognan and already can’t wait to return. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm and welcoming, we were early so enjoyed some light bites and the most fabulous glass of wine in the gorgeous sunshine before checking into our room that was made available much earlier than the check in time, we had a late afternoon massage, cannot recommend a visit to the tree house Spa for a treatment with Sophie enough, it was AMAZING. We followed this by the included wine tasting experience, what a treat! I wish we knew the name of the lovely entertaining and informative member of the team who shared her knowledge with us, the way she educated us created a true connection to the art of wine making. We headed back to the restaurant for dinner - and more wine!! the menu was nothing short of incredible, everything was so carefully curated with so much passion and care, it was simply a wonderful experience. The entire team made our stay so special, from the moment we arrived we left our every day behind and could not have relaxed more if we tried, our room was beautiful and the bed AMAZING- add to that the massage from earlier in the day and we had the best night sleep, followed by a delightful morning walk and breakfast before checking out. We can’t wait to come back again next Spring and plan to make it an annual trip 💖

We were greeted by Gilles who was extremely kind, caring and professional. He gave us recommendations on places to visit and to stay on our way back to the Lyon Airport. Our room was clean and quiet and very beautifully decorated, our entire experience was a delight and we would definitely stay again. We each had a massage which was phenomenal.

Lovely estate with excellent restaurant. Service was very good. We enjoyed walking among the vineyards and the spa was also very good. The location is perfect for visiting wineries/chateaus. We highly recommend Chateau Leognan if you are staying in Pessac-Leognan area.
